  1. I have the most fun playing with Asajj, and if you don’t kill a high level/modded one quick she will self heal/aoe til everyone against her is dead. No other character dubuffs an entire team, unless I haven’t seen that effect yet… I pair her with an ewok elder and scariff pathfinder in GW, the dying scariff keeps setting off her BEAST MODE and she gets multiple crits (over 200% crit damage with a rare mod or two) But, She leads or she looses so pair with Daka.

  2. I think there is a bug involving her. I have a sisters squad and I noticed that she doesn’t not move during the first couple of turns in PVP. My 4 other characters move, enemy move, again my 4 moves, enemy moves and after all she makes her first round (if she’s still alive). Ok, she is slow, but I’m expecting that she move after all, DURING first turn. She moves at the end of second turn. It’s a problem.

    1
  3. Very easy to level, star, and gear up. She inflicts good damage and her stun is useful (but nothing you can count on). I run her as a nightsisters lead to speed her up which works wonders.

Her dispel works well on teams with a tanting tank and phasma. If timed correctly you can dispel their advantage and their taunt to allow your team to continue their barrage.

    5 stars for being awesome!

    5
  4. Ok she is a nightsister, but how is she not a sith? She’s Dukus apprentice. Pleas fix this…

    4
    • She was never actually a Sith though, since Dooku was the apprentice himself he couldn’t actually induct Ventress into the Sith order, since there can only be two at a time. She would be considered a dark Jedi, or dark acolyte

Technically this means Savage shouldn’t be a Sith either, but one can argue that he was apprenticed to Maul during the brief time that the “true Sith” was contested

      5
      • Asajj was never meant to become a Sith, was Dooku’s tool from the beginning. In contrast, Savage was trained to be a Sith apprentice by Dooku and was the apprentice to Maul. And Savage was far powerful than Asajj.

        5
  5. Ventress is slow because she bats clean up! You want the other team with partial health by the time you use her Aoe so it refreshes the timer, and activates her passive. If you miss a kill you have to wait several turns. Not that hard to set her up with a kill almost every time. So this ability is amazingly powerful if used correctly but if not she can be dead weight and one of the first toons to get killed by a careful controller. Her self heal is useful but seems like something leftover after surgery, the dispel effect is what is helpful since her normal attack returns health. Because of her ability and inherent flaws I’d say this is a perfectly balanced toon and fun to play in a lot of situations despite being slow when not leader.

    5
  6. She was my first arena shipment char and imo she has great value. I use her with phasma lead and kylo and once the first person goes down she starts to wreck house. Should be even stronger with the recent changes to slower heroes (she’s not the fastest but phasma more than mitigates.

I’m a big fan of nuking down an enemy squishy and then using her AOE once she gets the buffs to deal a big chunk of damage to the remaining enemies. Quite often this will force heals and taunts at less than ideal times for the opponent allowing you to pick apart the survivors while they wait for their CD’s to reset.

    5
  7. I prefer to run heal and health pool based groups in which Asajj perfictly fits at the moment. Under her lead Talia is faster as well which could be even more beneficial later with Ahsoka and Daka.

I do not play for a long time so I was glad to get her very soon and I recommend to take her.
    Currently my No.1 group is: Asajj(4star), JC(4), Sid(5), Lumi(5), Talia(4)

Waiting to be geared up: 5’s, Phasma, Dooku. Should I keep her in a group where Phasma is the leader and 5’s could bring her in for even more extra attacks?

    4
  8. FTP here since early December. I have a 7* Gear 8 Ventress lead with Daka and a mix of either Lumi, 86 and RG (4*, Gear 8) or JC, 86 and Poe and I get through GW pretty well! I was very stubborn for awhile just running Sid, Lumi, Daka, Poe, and JC just because they were my 5 most powerful, but lacked the synergy needed to win. Even though Ventress is SUPER slow, she buffs Daka to make a huge difference with Daka’s stuns. As long as you have someone who deals damage (86) and a tank(RG/Poe), you just need a healer (Lumi/JC) and the team is really good! As long as Ventress gets the killing blow, she continues to deal damage, even if she’s the last to go.

    • Hey Marvin, you should check out joining my guild, and any other F2P experienced players that are interested.

Inglorious Blasters, the top exclusively F2P guild. First F2P to do T6 Raid and we’ll be first to do Heroic Raid.

Must be level 78+ with 10+ 7* toons and active daily.

  9. In pvp she dies, or sideous dies first, usually before I can swing. She’s powerful if 1 of 2 things happen:

    She stuns
    She AoE swings and kills

So in non-pvp she’s useful, especially in Galaxy War, and moderately more useful than sideous in pvp if you have a heal stop char (kylo ren possibly better than sid, but can’t confirm)

    4
    • I feel GW gets harder if I rank better in pvp, but with GW quirks I’m at mid 200’s in pvp. Asajj is in my main squad until something else comes up

      0
      • Yeah. Jinx. Totally messed up. Reached rank 180 when I tried the same day I posted this, and now I’m struggling to stay in the mid/high 200’s. Good early “spare” in Guild War. Her loss isn’t truly detrimental. Irritating, but when she gets her first AoE kill, she’s on a roll.

        3
  10. If you are a f2p player its a good character, is easy to get her to high mk and with good abilites

    3
  11. Way too squishy in arena.
    I have a 7* VIII lvl 70 Asajj and she’s undewhelming.
Sure she has lots of usefull abilities, but doesn’t have the time to use even one.
When fighting in Arena I choose to fight any team with an Asajj and focus her first, in order to avoid carnage. I’ve never lost to her.
The only way I could see her work is if teamed with a Royal Guard.

    2
    • Erin Engelbrecht

I hide Asajj behind ST Han’s taunt and it works out well. In arena, I either win big and only lose Han (or no one) or I get tromped. There’s no middle ground. I run Phasma-L, Lumi, Daka, Asajj, and ST Han. It’s a great team, but I must admit I have trouble with droid-heavy teams.

  12. Little list, since I see everyone already putting in their opinions:

    Pros

-One of two characters with five abilities
    -Very easy to get
    -High base damage
    -High pressure
-Can remove taunts, advantage, and any buffs that can totally destroy your plan of attack
-Gets bonuses from fallen enemies AND allies
-Combos very well with a Phasma team
    -High Special Damage
-Can Refresh cooldowns on Special Abilties
    -Aoe Damage
    -Can Stun
    -Most Health Steal per character

    Cons
-Slowest character in the game on speed stat (besides Jedi Knight Guardian)
-Leader Ability is very useless because Old Daka’s is better
    -Stun chance is very low
-Focused when healers are not present

Overall I run her in my main 5 just because of her usability and utility when combo’d with Phasma.

If you guys are wondering my current team: I run Phasma, Lumi, Anakin (Since they target Lumi, Anakin gets his full buff on), Chewbacca (because I’m working on Poe), and Ventress.

    5
  13. I have her 7* 8G ability lvl 6 and she is awesome.

She can’t heal the whole team anymore but now she can heal herself much better. Always almost full!!! Also deal a tons of damage to all ennemies.

She is not my leader since only night sisters can benefit from her.

    4
    • I absolutely love her. She’s my best geared/highest rated char. As much as only nightsisters benefit, I still run her as leader with Draka which almost gives her reasonable speed but with the bonus Draka will go before anyone that I’ve run into outside of Dooku and when she lands the stun it’s a great start. If she lands a double stun, you just won. Assaj has really significant are dmg that she can spam as long as she kills someone and it’s so high that she will kill any squishy around or below 50% so the fact she doesn’t go first isn’t all bad as it provides a chance for those proceeding her to set someone low enough

      5
      • I prefer Asajj (7*, G8, LVL80) as leader over Daka (5*, G8, LVL66) as she in my experience is one of the first to hit although she is still quite slow, but she keeps the Nightsisters speedy.
Add Lumi, NI, Talia and a tank, you can do some serious damage over a long period of time, debuffing, the occasional stun, decent healing…

I might change my mind once I get Daka up to the same level. Her stun seems better, group heal *is* nice to have…

        4
  14. Ok,since YODA is out now and is op, I think in order for F2P players to succeed against him,you have to get her.

Her buff removal and self-heal are worthy abilities against Yoda’s buff replication for his teammates. Her occasional stun would be a brutal combo when paired with Old Daka.

But all of this is imo and would be subject to change (if EA decides to make major changes in the stats and abilities in the game)

    0
    • I’m not running into many Yodas. But I’m taking her to 5*/g8 regardless. Her abilities are a question, so thanks again for this awesome site!
I agree that she has a ton of potential. I’ll be running her with St Han, Phasma, Dooku, and Daka.
IJS, I would also like to hear how she does against the Yoda. Thanks

      0
    • An anti Poggle hero.

The thing is she always dies before she even got a chance to debuff enemies OR they already fired all up so no need to debuff. That’s the problem with using her.

      1
      • I just got her to 6*. Her HP increase is worth it. She can actually survive the first round now. Also, i’m using her in GW more too.

        4
    • Her aoe dispel is heavily resisted by Yoda’s tenacity up. He will also frequently replicate foresight which will cause a “dodge” and failure to dispel. I think ventress is a fabulous character with a TON of utility. She is just too slow to reliably use in arena.

      0
      • Too slow is exactly her issue… She is basically half the speed of yoda… In PVP it’s like showing up with four because the match is over before she gets a turn.

  15. The new lvl. 5 upgrade for Strike Fear is +5% heal, and jusging from what the lvl. 6 upgrade is, what it says the lvl. 7 ability is, and the fact that I know the lvl. 4 ability because it’s what my asajj is at, the lvl. 7 upgrade is +5% heal and +1% bonus heal.

Sidious and Asajj are my two main arena currency heroes, though I’ve recently been focusing on getting Eeth Koth for the Yoda challenge. Asajj has been a staple on my team, especially for the agility gear challenge. I’m happy that she now can self heal at any time (since she’s somewhat squishy), but I’m very upset that a) her team heal is now removed (which is sort of how she was support) and b) this was done without the devs saying a word (or at least, I didn’t hear anything about it not read it in the forum patch notes). That really ticks me off, since had I not noticed such during move upgrading I could have made the wrong move in arena battles or GW that turned my game into a disaster.

  16. RE: Strike Fear glitchiness

    two things…

    1. in the current meta I think it is actually a pretty useful ability. Poggle’s offense up (staple on droid teams) and Phasma’s advantage up (1st or 2nd most common team leader) are dangerous effects and Asajj can get rid of them from an entire team in one shot AND give a huge health boost to her whole team.

If this group heal aspect IS a glitch they should ABSOLUTELY keep this aspect… as it’s only situationally useful at best, and not really a game changer across the board.

    2. As far as it not working against defense up. I feel like this is true. But for some reason I keep thinking I’ve seen it dispel defense up before. Has anyone noticed it ever work?
Better question is… does Defense Up has a higher tenacity than other status effects? Do other dispels (e.g. Smite) work less against defense up in general? Also, are any instances of defense up permanent, as in “whenever an ally is below 50% health” or something like that… b/c if so, maybe Strike Fear can’t dispel it, b/c it is still a triggered status effect even after the dispel occurs.

    4
    • She is a good character to play with before the group heal is gone. Even with the group heal she is nowhere near top tier I dunno why EA had to take it away. Now she is no longer usable. Before I could make a comeback with her heal even though my team is slow and always get attack first. Pls

      3
  17. Does her lvl 8 gear seriously not have any speed gear? I like what she could bring to a team… But her speed makes it hard to actually pull the trigger on investing further in her.

    3
  18. I hated her at first but now she is a default character in my PvP team and optional on my GW Team.

I always go after healers and dpses first. She allows me to bypass tanks. Nothing is more frustrating then getting stuck beating on a healer supported tank. Sid prevents heal, Asajj bypasses tanks and then my dpses kill. I like that setup so I find her seriously underrated.

Though she does suck big time in cantina and faction battles as they dont feature much buffs or tanks at all.

    4
  19. does ventress gain speed herself when she is the leader or just other nightsisters?

    0
  20. I still don’t know what to think about this character. I expect to get heal every time she removes possitive bufs even bufs on my own team. But no HP :-(
    She needs fix.

    3
  21. I have a 3 star ventress with gear level 7. On the menu of characters hers is the only character with a red 1. However when I select her, no upgrade is available. Anyone else encounter this?

    0
    • This one got me for a while, too. She actually has 5 abilities, so you’ll need to scroll down and upgrade the 5th to remove the red 1.

      0
    • She has 5 abilities and is the only toon to have 5. Scroll down her list of abilities (Cruel Strike, Strike Fear, etc.) and I’ll bet her Rampage ability can be upgraded. I made this same mistake, trying to figure out why she had a red number next to her. You’re just not used to scrolling through that because you don’t have to with anyone else but her. Enjoy! I have her at 6* and she’s hitting like a truck!

      0
  22. 4*, Gear Level VII.
I usually keep her on my teams. Her dispel (when it works) is incredibly useful. She lays down solid damage and refreshes cooldowns on AOE kills. Her self buffing is great. Her slow speed and limited health are definitely downsides, but she often goes immediately after the tank allowing her to remove the taunt, remove your opponents buffs, and negate some of the round’s damages to your team. Even with the glitches, she’s still a very viable character for me currently.

    4
    • I forgot to mention the extra stuns she gets on her basic attack. Teamed with Dooku and Daka, you rack up a LOT of stuns.

      0
  23. She’d be fantastic if her dispels worked better. Need to be able to counter all the Phasma and occasional Leia’s out there. Not too great in PvP for me, but missions and GW she’s good.

I have her at 5* and gear lvl 7 now, but don’t plan investing too much more into her.

    3
    • I don’t know about you, but for me Asajj is on of the top picks because of the dispel. If an opponent got Phasma/Leia/Poggle, I will get a good heal. Maybe you should upgrade her gear.

      5
    • Don’t give up on her yet. What level are her attack and special abilities? I know ability mats have to be used sparingly, but I’ve got all her abilities at level 5 or 6 with gear level 7 at 6* and she’s a rock star.

      0
    • I like her speed for the dispels. Other than her, I run a pretty fast team. (Daka, Dooku, Geo, Pogg) They all go befor most other toons. Then the other team gets to go (hopefully most are stunned) Then you get Assaj to clear off any buffs added during the other team’s turn.

      0
  24. Hoping when the debuff/heal glitch gets fixed, she still heals all party members. Her speed is a tough drawback, but Rampage helps, and when she’s got Offense up (usually,) she hits hard.

Stun attack, offense up, CD reset, debuff (update pending). She’s pretty solid already, likely a 5-star after patch.

*I haven’t invested into night sister team to exercise her leader skill. Seems solid from other comments.

    4
    • I also realized she is supposed to have a 45% hp steal from gear, and this feature clearly does not work at all.

Next highest toon in the game is Maul at 20% so it’s clearly supposed to be an integral part of her character.

      0
  25. She’d be great if she weren’t s glitchy.

Her special ability is simply broken. It doesn’t remove positive effects from enemies, it heals all team mates rather than just herself (as the game states it should). Her speed is incredibly slow, despite the numbers saying otherwise. How the hell can EA not have fixed this in the last update? This is game breaking stuff ffs.

    1
  26. If you kill things, she has actually a decent speed. The unique seems sorta glitched also, as long as the turn meter refreshes happens a lot, not 1/4, but around 1/2. That, or im really lucky. If the AOE go down 2-3 enemies, you can normally expect a bonus turn instantly.

When I started playing I unlocked her first instead of sidous. It was a mistake, but at a time it wasnt, cause she is astonishing among low levels, specially in arena with all people running Chewie. Raised her to five stars before starting sidious. Never gonna regret.

Just use her to focus fire in sidious, due to most likely you having 1 or 2 Jedis in team that fail a LOT to hit him (again, way more than the 1/3 he is supposed to), and allways wait, and save for, a low health to use the third skill. It worth also as a healing-proc, so the AI waste it when you are about to unleash a round of high damage skills, but learning to do so is way more strategic and requires proper timing.

I noticed also that nobody mentions the stun, but its really nice to see it proc, and can help you make sidious a turn.

I have her at five stars, gear level seven, four out of five posible pieces, and I use her in every team that I can, and Im normally really happy with her performance. Im so happy that Im gonna test a Ventress(leader) / sidious / Daka / Talia / Luminara-or-Initiate when i have the chance, cause so far the testing with just Talia made her really fast. Currently farming other (namely sidious, ninety shards away from 7*).

-Useless, and even dangerous, against: Dooku, Fives, Aayla. Really, just dont, specially against Fives.
-Useless against: Vader, Qui Gon, First Order Tie Pilot, Luke.
-Usefull against: The rest not listed.
-Usefull, specially, against: sidious, Luminara, Consular, any taunter, Phasma, Leia, Poggle, Rey.

-Positive points: above average damage output, interesting gadgets, above average skills (thanks to glitch in second), and five of them.
-Negative points: speed, the way the AI use her, nearly pointless when debuffed speed or damage.

-PVE: 7/10. Due to lack or effects to dispel and heal, she normally runs with one skill less, but she has one extra just for that.
-PVP: 8/10. Good damage and the tendency of the AI to completely ignore her.

A great second choice to spend Area Tokens.

    0
  27. Together with Old Daka she is a blast. You have the chance to stun 3 enemies each turn if you have both in your team. Her ability to remove taunt from tanks – healing herself – is great when you are trying to take down more dangerous enemys fast.

Endless Wrath is not that powerful but used in the right moment you can reset her cooldowns which can come in quite handy.

Right now she is one of my favourite characters next to Luminara Unduli.

    5
  28. That slow speed mentioned, needs mentioned again. Yeah, it’s that slow. I think she’s worth having. And since it’s taking forever to get Old Daka, I’m OK with her needing more than 4 stars to reach potential.
    3-4 * Stars depending on investment/patches

    3
  29. Do you think it is a good idea to keep investing on Ventress? All the glitches really deter me. :(

    0
    • Ig88, maul, Sirius, Vader, Assaj. Will wipe out the entire enemy team with their AOEs. Especially with maul getting 100% turn meter on each killing blow. And Vader getting another attack after his execute. Now if only there were a way to get Darth Maul without paying. Haha.

For my build, I’m going to do the above, but use Poe instead of maul as I don’t have him. His 20% expose is almost just as good. And he soaks up an entire turn of the enemy team.

      0
  30. In addition to already mentioned glitches she already has; although reading rampage description she should earn off/pen up each time someone dies that doesn’t happen when SHE kills an enemy. I find this rather annoying, cause you actually want her to deal the final blow to exploit cd reset.

    4
    • First, someone please fix the glitch where you don’t get the buffs when she makes the kill. I’m assuming this problem stems from negative status that clears when a members turn ends. Unfortunately for her she gets the buff and then it’s immediately removed because her turn ends.

Aside from that she is great. Besides Darth Maul, 1st order pilot and maybe a leveled up Vader, she does more damage than anyone else. I’ve seen her do over 12000 to party with special attack and then get an immediate second turn to do more (gains turn meter with kills)

She stuns one third of her normal attacks and due to her critical rating (critics hit 2/3 of the time) and buffs (4 of them every time anyone dies) she does 3000+ damage, consistently (again with a good chance to stun). Basically kills people in yellow health

Yes, her heal doesn’t work on defense up – who cares? It doesn’t do much anyway, but against a team of offense up, she will heal the party 2000+. Oh, and simply removing taunt is worth it even without the heal so I’ll take the extra health for free.

So, critical hit + stun + large group damage + potential decent group heal + remove taunt + good health + ok speed if leader (better than some high damage people, but great speed for nightsisters) + chance to gain turn meter + chance to remove some turn meter + arena purchase = 5*s.

If they fix the buff glitch she’s definitely better than Sidious (probably even without the fix)

  31. The best choice for a Nightsister Team Leader. My Nightsister Team runs incredibly fast and can usually kill a healer before they get a chance to heal or another hero taunts. Did I mention the team runs incredibly fast? Well, except for Ventress herself who is the slowest of the bunch.

    • Is Asajj Ventress the only hero that has 5 Abilities\Attacks?

      • Fadrique Avalle-Arce

Yes. I love her, too. Got her early in the only pack I bought, and started leveling her immediately, instead of trying to unlock Sid. I was a noob and didn’t know Sid was so overwhelmingly popular, but I just got her to seven stars (still haven’t unlocked Sid), and I couldn’t be happier. She’s a BEAST at high level, and is insanely useful in both Arena and GW.

  32. Which positive spells are affected by Strike Fear?

  33. I wanted to reevaluate Ventress

    Positives:
    – High potency makes her more viable at higher levels
    – With Offense Up buff either through her passive or some other means, makes Endless Wrath a lot scarier
    – Lot more active buffs that Ventress can actually remove since the update makes her much more viable

    Negatives:
    – Super slow, to the extent that if not run with a Nightsister group using her leader ability, she’s severely handicapped
    – If there’s no buffs to remove then she’s largely useless until she get’s Offense Up

    Overall:
With the recent update she’s probably viable in Nightsister compositions (a composition I wasn’t two keen on before), but her slowness makes her a very questionable add to other compositions unless you know you’re going to need the buff removal. Rating: 3.4/5

    • Not just in a Nightsister composition, but also with a leader like CPT Phasma, giving Ventress a chance to attack out of turn. This is the usage that I am now contemplating. I’m still confused about how her heal works though. I have fought against her and seen her heal her team when I didn’t have any positive effects for her to dispel. Also, I’ve used her to heal my team, but my opponent’s positive effects were not dispelled. Anyone understand how her Strike Fear ability actually works?

    • Her slow speed works to her advantage. It allows the opposition time to build up buffs and it allows your team time to whittle a target down enough for Endless Wrath to get a finishing blow.

      • No, it doesn’t. High speed is always good. If she had Dooku’s speed, she would just use it in her second turn. BTW, Asajj is known for being agile and fast, unlike Old Daka who is known for being old (yet way faster than Asajj)

  34. She’s capable of dishing out huge damage at higher levels. The offense up plus critical hit can add up to 2000 damage around level 42, 4*. And she’s relatively easy to obtain through arena shipments compared to card-only characters. But the dispel ability is broken, and she’s slow. If there were more than three useable night sister characters then maybe you could justify using her as a leader but not at this time, at least not for a mixed squad.

    • There are 5 night sisters. Initiate, Acolyte, Asajj, Talia, and Old Daka. I run this team and with Asajj leading they crazy fast. With the exception of Dooku everyone gets a turn before the other team

      • He did not say there were three nightsisters, he said there were three USABLE nightsisters.

I assume he means Daka, Talia and Initiate. As for the other two… Acolyte is almost useless. Asajj is slow and her dispel is broken (almost never works on the more common buffs like Defense Up), which makes her useful only in very few situations, and in those few situations where she could be useful there are probably better choices. That leaves tolerating her wasting space which could be better used for her leader ability, but I don’t know if the speed boost she gives makes enough of a difference to be worthwhile. If really makes a difference I may try her when I am done upgrading Sidious, but otherwise I’ll pass until she is fixed and focus on others characters. It is a pity, I would have loved a full nightsisters team. I do hope she is fixed soon.

  35. Positives: Glitchy dispel. Heals entire team not just her.

Negatives: Glitchy dispel. Doesn’t work on a lot of the status effects. Namely Defense Up, which is 90% of the status effects that you will routinely see. Because of this she is HIGHLY situational at best. Meaning mostly useless in any common composition.

Bottom-line: Please fix this characters ability. I say keep the group heal. Slightly lower the percentage. Make it work on all positive status effects.

  36. She is one of my focus characters at the moment as I expect her to be a good underdog character that most won’t see coming.

Btw. Her strike fear ability is currently glitchy. There are some buffs that are currently immune to this ability (and others) and it also heals the whole party not just herself. I expect these to be fixed sooner or later. Btw at the 4th level it can remove 2 buffs per enemy.

Level 4 Endless Wrath buff is +5%

  37. What does it mean refresh all cooldowns, can you please explain?

    0
    • I wish it were on all Heroes, but just her special abilities unfortunately. Not as powerful as it’s described.

      0
    • Every time you use and ability there will be a turn timer marked by the number on your ability icon indicating the number of turns left before you can use that ability again. That timer is called a cool down. When the cool down gets refreshed, the timer is removed and you can use the ability again immediately on your next turn.

For example, if asajj uses the endless wrath ability and does not kill anyone, you have to wait four turns before you can use it again. But if you do kill someone with it and refresh all cool downs, not only can you use endless wrath again, you can also use her other abilities again even if you just used them last turn, in this case strike fear.
