  1. Phasma’s the best. I still run a Phasma/First Order team in the Lando/Palpatine meta, and I’m still having a blast. The trick is to max out a full Resistance team for speed mods. I liked Resistance Trooper and Pilot, so I farmed them from the start for the Speed Mod challenges. Grab a load of awesome speed mods, and put them on Phasma and FOTP. (First Order Tie Pilot) Phasma goes early, giving the whole team Advantage and turn meter. Then, FOTP executes someone (usually Rey, Geonosian Soldier, IG-88, or Qui-Gon) with his basic. The rest of my team go to clean up any attackers with crits from Advantage and finish the tanks and supports.

  2. Honestly not overly impressed. Saw nice reviews on here so decided to farm her and I don’t think it was worth it. Attacks are meh at best. The leader ability and turn meter ability are nice but that’s really it. Really underwhelming and soft hitting character from my personal experience.

  3. Honestly, i am tired of these phasma lead teams. I don’t like her, her leader ability probably is the best of the game, and it’s TOTALLY random. You guys will hate me since she is probably the most used tool of the game, but i want to see her lead changed/nerfed, atm she’s just a must have even if you don’t want her.

  4. Actually, her abilities’ information are wrong. In Onslaught, at level 8, she applies Attack Reduction for 2 turns on critical hits and, if she doesn’t crit, she has a 50% chance to det Advantage for 2 turns. Not only Onslaught is incorrect, as Fire at Will tells us that allies have an “18% chance to call a random ally to Assist”, but the chance is 20% when the ability is fully upgraded (which occurs at level 7). I suggest you to change the information as soon as you see this post, because it has mislead me when I got her and I’d like to prevent others from following my example.
    Even though the info may be wrong, she’s still a monster in attacking. I found out that getting her as an Ally character in my Sidious’ lead team makes my Kylo Ren attack all the time distributing critical hits. I intend to build a fully functional FO team, but first I must upgrade my FOTP (4*) and my FOS (3*). Still don’t have FOO, but that’s not a real problem since I’ve just finnished upgrading QGJ in Cantina Shippments. And as I am upgrading my Barriss in Cantina Battles, I guess I can use her as a Healer for the FO team in the meantime.

    • Yeah, this is in serious effing need of updating. Phasma is a 95 in GW. I often use her throughout entire GW’s.

    Pair with Old Daka and Savage!
    Drop your Tank-If you have Phasma and she is 5 Stars And Level 50+ with Gear Lvl 6+….absorbs damage like a sponge! Usually the last person standing always!
    Trust me. You will always want her leading your team in every situation!

  6. Strong support character, one of the best in the collection. Worth farming, worth starring. best way to counter her is to have her, or run with three healers……like one of these on the light side.

  7. I run Phasma as leader, with Poggle, Old Ben, GS and Rey. When Phasma does victory march, Ben debuffs and Poggle gives offense up. Then, Rey and GS become gods and clean up.

    • I’d like to suggest IG88 instead of GS because he gets a huge bonus for each debuffed character… Just a thought

  8. I just upgraded her leader ability to lvl 7 and it says it’s maxed.. Did they get rid of lvl 8?? I’d love to get rid of the damage penalty

  9. @KYLVEN… is her leader abilty only for the initial attacker?? If no.. then how far can it go ? If I use gs assist and he calls Ayala and hee unique kicks in.. can all three get assists from phasma leader abilty??

    • Her leader ability is for the entirety of the battle even if she dies. Her assists are only for the basic abilities.So GS assist wouldn’t be called only the basic attack. If you have Count Dooku or Leia their basic includes a multi attack so they could be called and hit more than once.

      • I’ve had GS call assists with Phasma as the the lead and seen two people jump forward for an attack. One for GS and the other for Phasma’s skell. so I don’t think its just for basic attacks. I don’t believe her ability allows for an assist on an assist.

        • You can get double assists if you attack with a char that has an assist calling attack and with Phasma as leader. Quite nasty =)

  10. Got her from the guaranteed char pack bundle about 3 days into first playing and never looked back. Great bulk, good damage and an incredible set of skills.

    Victory march builds tempo and pairs great with bulky, slower attackers like Kylo. Fusilade has high chance to slow and her leader ability is the best in the game in my opinion.

    The 100% crit change on advantage opens some new options for her and you should be more mindful about how you use it with her specifically. 100% crit fusilade is great extra aoe damage + slow but onslaught now does incredible damage and can almost be used as an execute against damaged heroes.

    If you put time into the consular or another healer I’d recommend using your GW shipments on her before Luminara.

  11. Most valuable toon in today patch (14/04), phasma is totally OP now, get to offence down in a crit or gains advantage for 2 turns (that gives 100% crit chance) with is basic attack. Victory march gives advantage and turn to all the team and everyone crits in that turn, amazing!
    Totally nailed it! Started a new game 2 weeks ago.

    Also the herd mentality of everyone getting Qui-gon/GS/Dookan killing half my team 1st round B.S. is over. New skill – Protection, works like a pre-heath bar if you have lvl 7 gear, a bit like foresight but in a bar, loving it! No more 1st turn carnage, real strategy now!

    To finish, other toons that i think gain immense value with phasma /advantage synergy (haven’t confirmed if there were changes on their skills though):

    -Luke skywalker – gains 40% turn meter on a crit (base), stuns for 100% and does heavy damage on special with adv. (goes after phasma)
    -Resistance pilot 27.5%? turn meter on a crit (passive)
    (goes after phasma)
    -Greedo (50% chance to attack again on a crit)
    (goes after phasma)
    -GS is even more op now (30% turn meter on a crit)
    -ahsoka (bigger heal on a crit)
    -Rebel scout (100% meter on a crit)

    There are 2 other toons that became totally op with this synergy, Guess who?

    • Edit:Not offence down, defense down, still awesome though, just climbed to 16º, and the new health system is awesome too, adds strategy value, because lately this game felt more like a race to lvl and get gear, than a proper strategy game.

  13. Most people don’t use her as leader in Arena, but I do. Her assist triggers more often (18%) than Sid’s crit (14%), plus a second hit does more damage than difference between regular and crit damage. Pair her leadership with Dooku, who gets turn meter bonus when he goes out of turn, and your attacks are flying all over the place. In arena, use with fast team (Sid, Dooku) then use Victory March first off. You’ll get 5-6 attacks (plus assists!) before other team gets more than a couple. Add Poe in there and you’ve knocked out their top 3 opponents before they can blink. I noticed a big upgrade in her regular hit once I got her to 7*

    • How does that work for you now that speed is king? I use Barris as leader for extra hp for each ally and just soak the damage mostly. Sometimes I use QGJ to beat a Poe user. I have won the Last 5 squad arenas but I am also level 70.

      • Update: since they fixed Dooku’s leader ability, I’m running Dooku as leader. But still use Phasma on the team. I find using victory march first thing really gives me lots of turns up front. She cries pretty heavily, so using Dooku’s evade to get offense up works well.

        But to your question, with Phasma as leader, I had no problems staying in top 20 arena, even against the speedy teams.

  14. very useful as leader in GW – due to very bad RNG realization, there always a chance to take team, which will have 5-7 assists attacks in row.
    this lottery not suitable for PVP, and ability block transform her to useless char.

  15. I like her but I have a question. Do counter, retribution, muti-attack, or other characters’ assisted attacks trigger her leader ability? Or is it just the an attacker’s first attack?

    • As I understand it assist and counters can’t trigger more of either. To back up that information I have never seen such happen. It also makes sense — Can you imagine how crazy it could get? In some matches the triggers could go on for ages.

  16. Not quite as sweet since the patch that removed assist on non attack triggers (ie: no assist attack chance on a heal on non enemy affecting taunt like Chewie).
    Still very solid overall regardless, and still a mainstay as leader on my GW team though finally retired her from Arena squad.

    Plus is health steal now patched, can be quite effective on Fusillade AoE. Leadership ability leveraged with more FO toons, used to run her effectively with just Kylo but probably better with 1-2 additional.

  17. If any of you guys were around on the game when The Force Awakens hit theatres, you most likely got Phasma for free.

    That day right there changed my GoH team for good. Her leader ability is just too good to pass up on. I love her entire kit, and now that Health Steal is working, the AoE on her 3rd skill is a little overpowering at times.

    I currently have her 4* and she’s doing the job just fine there. I’ma have to stack some more stars, I’ve been focusing too much on Lumi and getting Poe lately.

    She’s totally worth, honestly my favorite character.

  19. I fought a guy with phasma’s leadership just a minute ago. She healed 2k before the characters turns. Other characters were Lumi and Sid. I think sometimes game messed up. Mine doesnt heal. :)

  20. I was just wondering if anyone has managed to put together a complete first order team. Like Phasma as leader with stormtrooper, officer, pilot, and Kylo Ren. If you have is it any good?

    • I have the characters but all are not leveled up yet, but i may try and let u know. The only one not at a high level is officer, which is at 44 lvl

    • I’m currently rocking Captain Phasma, FO Stormtrooper, and FO Officer at level 58 with gear level 7.

      For healing and support I have Talia and Jedi Consular backing them up.

      Finally caught enough random FO Tie Figher Pilot shards from the shipment and working on beefing him up, however despite having him around level 52 and with equipment level 6 he starts off with as only a 1 star. With having him built up this way he still only has 4 bars of health. Could be just how the character was meant to be played. He deals about 1,000 or so with his basic attack plus with a chance for getting a free extra attack and he has a high crit chance. When tied with Phasma’s leader ability he can certainly dish out damage, but he can only take so much.

      So far it’s a pretty good/fun team up.

    • I have all the characters and I love the team! Most of them are at least 4* (with the exception of tie pilot being at 3* for the time being). Stormtrooper isn’t my favorite (though he can still take and give a hit, plus his counter is nice), but aside from him, I love it. For perspective, with my characters at least all lvl 60, gear ~6-8, Phasma and officer can each deal more than 4000 with their base attack without a crit when everyone gets advantage from phasma. If officer gives tie pilot advantage and offense up with Marching Orders, my pilot has dealt 6,000+ damage for each shot in his Double Shot (so usually 12,000+). Kylo Ren just keeps recovering his abilities and dealing healing immunity to people. His Outrage (without the usual bonus) can deal 2000 naturally, but much more when below 50% health. Not to mention Phasma’s leader ability has people attacking quite a bit (some encounters more than others sadly). The best part is the control the team has. It’s not uncommon for them to take out 2 characters (in a reasonable fight) before the other team moves if my team goes first. Their only downside is healing, but if you have a healer replace one of the first orders they are a force to reckon with!

    • This is one of the teams I’m trying to get. FOTP is going to take me a while. I might use someone other than stormtrooper. I would think with all those first order characters you get lots of ally assists on attacks, plus advantage would work well with all.

    • ^it USED to be. FOO looks like it will fall off the team after patch. Can anybody tell if Speed Down inadvertantly buffs the enemy’s dmg? I’ve been getting ONE-SHOTTED past Protection by Luke, Old Ben and others..

  21. Did Phasma get a nerd in the last update? She went from speed of 121 down to 113 on mine and her health dropped from about 14000 to 12000. Anybody else notice this?

    I see in game on level 4 : 14% chance .
    Is the game showing wrong, or here is a mistake.
    My observation tells me, I see assist more frequently than 14%.

    What is better; has assist on planed attack or has a bigger chance to counter attack with Ima ?
    I have both and prefer Ima much.

  24. There is something wrong with her. She causes a bonus attack way more than 20% of the time even when people clearly have not fully upgraded her to 18% bonus attack chance. My guess, the programmer messed up the logic with first order troops getting a double chance (36%). All friendly units seem to have this chance. If they ever find the issue her value will decrease. Still very strong support character.

    • No it’s when anyone on the team attacks, there is an 18% chance to assist at max level. I’d bet money it’s working correctly, you’ll naturally notice the times when it screws you and not notice at all when they go 10 times in a row without assisting. Flawed human perception is all.

  25. Can someone explain “advantage” to me please? Is it having more health than the targeted opponent?

    • It means that your attacks with characters that have advantage will ignore the opponent’s armor/resistance. It basicly provides extra damage, not alot (except for phasma bc she gets 65% more damage) but a fair amount ( probably 100-200 hundred more damage depending on character attacked).

  26. The only negatives I saw people mention about phasma here has been her base stats. The reality is she’s a support character. She is not supposed to hit like a truck. she does her job of of completely unbalancing otherwise balanced fights. On multiple occasions she has been the sole factor in ending my galactic wars. While playing against her can be beyond aggravating and sometimes seemingly unfair to no end. Her strength in really any team with moderate+ damage is unmatched. I give her 5/5, aka needs a nerf. There is little to no counter play to her. You just hope the AI is stupid in their targeting. If it’s not, you very well may lose a key character before you even get a chance to use them/heal them

  27. Her turn meter gain is not to be overlooked. By the opponent’s 2nd turn, you’ll have acted 3 times. Not to mention the slows. She’s great to turn pvp into 5v4.

    I’m wondering if she would be good with St Han or if that would be overkill. Maybe his taunt would end before he was attacked enough.

    The question is: Phasma or Lumi on GW. Truth be told, there’s no wrong answer. Lumi might contribute more to GW though.

    • There is no such thing as Han’s taunt ending too soon. It’s suicidal, getting it debuffed is the only concern. I run Han and Phasma right now and yes, I’m around rank #50 and it just always seems to be my turn lol. As long as everyone survives till Han’s taunt, it’s over. Well, assuming Lumi isn’t ability blocked or stunned either 😛 I put the heal up then and the regen lasts long enough to get a lot of extra turns out of him. The annoying teams are the QGJ/Genosian soldier ones that kill someone before anyone’s even had a turn.

  28. Very strong character that is well worth investing in (is easily farmable from GW). Has a good mix of defense and offense due to her high health and abilities.

    Onslaught: Does mediocre damage but if Phasma has advantage it gets a bonus and does quite high damage.

    Victory March: The turn meter gain is great for obvious reasons. Advantage is strong as it makes your team hit slightly harder and buffs Phasma’s basic attack. It is also amazing when using other first order characters e.g. FO Officer – makes his basic attack hit like a truck!

    Fusillade: Does reasonable AOE damage and slows the opposition so is a strong ability.

    Fire at Will: This is perhaps the strongest leader ability in the game. This alone can win you matches if it procs a few times. Your allies get to attack at close to full damage and when you take into account that their attacks can crit and apply effects this really is OP.

    Phasma is likely strongest in an offensive team containing a couple of First Order allies as this has great synergy with her leader ability and victory march.

  30. She’s freaking awesome. On her own she has a powerful area attack, a great basic attack and boost that, even tho it’s better depending on wich allies you have, is still efficient enought by making everyone faster.

    However her true power comes out in PVP, where you won’t be needing tanks or healers that much so long as you can dish out enought damage fast enought. Put her with kylo and the first order tie pilot and prepare yourself for the fireworks. In fact a full first-order team (phasma as leader, kylo, pilot, officer and stormtrooper) is my favorite team for pvp, their tank doesn’t really defend as well as chewbacka or others, and they don’t have a healer, but either way they’ll dish out extreme amounts of damage really fast, so by the time the enemy tries to counterattack it simply won’t be strong enought, and even if they somehow fail misserably phasma, kylo and the stormtrooper can easily hold the line for other waves even if the enemy manages to kill the officer and the pilot, wich are the members that tend to get killed off the most.

    Also curious about people on older maxed out 7* servers seeing a shift towards Phasma as lead or sub unit in general as more people start maxing her out. She is great but honestly in my current pool 5*/6* meta she is slightly out classed by sidious/ driods aoe teams which seem numerous thanks to that bundle.

    My team (Can phasma shine as a lead with these units?): I am still working on maxing out my Phasma and team to 7 in general. On a newer arena server and I hover around 6-25 in rank. We are all closing in on 60 at the top. I know meta changes at 60 ( like Offee being less OP with more burst dps). Attempting to invest right in the 50s to set up a solid 60 7* team, but there so many choices on who to level! First I am investing in Phasma, Poe, Sideous, side investment of Unduli, JC, FOTP, Kylo, Dooku, Ewok Elder as their tokens are much slower. Finally I have a few pay chars at 5* ( lando, Leia, QGJ, , Cad, Old Ben). Biggest concerns of not having currently: Poogle

      • I use her with St Han. It’s stupid. Fusillade first round and if Han has not been targeted. In second I pop the March and Taunt. Typically. This team turns Geonosian into a god.

        • Agree Kale. Update: So at 60 now and Phasma is nearly maxed also. I am using a team of Phasma (L), Poe, Leia (will be switched to FoTP when he is 5* + geared), Kylo, and Luminara. You are right, Phasma + a good taunt ( espically Poe’s who has turn reduction synergy) is completely broken. Since the switch to this team I have gotten #1 on my server for nightly rewards a few times.

    • I have been using Phasma for some time now, and almost have her completely maxed out. I use her as lead, most of the time, but ability usage is never absolute. I usually use fusillade first to slow down all or most enemies; which gives her the possibility to utilize the bonus she get with her normal attack from Victory March, since that goes away after being damaged 2x. I only use Victory March first when at lest 3 of my other heroes will benefit from the turn meter bonus and I need them to attack again before an enemy attacks that would do detrimental dmg or before a specific enemy uses an ability that would put me at a disadvantage. Know your enemy’s attacks & abilities and take away their chance to ustilize their best chance to gain any advantage over you before they can implement it. Know your heroes’ abilities and use them like tools. Use the right tool for the job and be ready to improvise. Having a set plan and not being able to improvise will inevitably lead to failure. I hope at makes sense and helps

      • Def understand this now after playing with her more. She is true support in its situation on when to use what buff. That being said I almost always start with Victory March on my team. Victory March + Poe taunt turn 1 generally puts me too far ahead not to get an early 4v5 advantage. Then Fusillade breaks Leia or FoTP for mid round dominance. Love this unit and do not regret switching off the Sid team for her. I hope they add TR-8R for her team next!

        • Also I think I would probably use Fusillade first if Poe was not so fast and I needed to get my tank taunt off. He almost always goes first with his speed and by the time I get to Phasma Fusillade would be wasted.

      – It completely depends on the situation. Say I’ve been bursted and really need to get a heal off now, I’ll use victory march first to make my healers/Tank go next. If the other team doesn’t have AOE, I might use it first anyway. The goal is to not let advantage get dispelled. So if they have 2 AOE heroes as well that haven’t nuked yet most commonly, Victory March might be a waste other than the turn meter gain (which is still the best part, don’t get me wrong), they’re going to peel it off everyone and Phasma relies on it for damage and if I can keep that buff on everyone all fight, I rarely lose. You also have to consider that you might need Fusillade to help mass dispel the opposing Phasmas advantage if they have one. (it takes 2 attacks to dispel it) So..yeah, completely situational.

      • I believe it depends on the hero & ability. Captain Phasma’s lasts throughout the battle after she is defeated, possibly because it is a leader ability. However, I don’t believe Old Dokka’s auto-revive lasts offer she is defeated. I have only seen my heroes auto revive while she is still standing, to include herself.

        • Sure… Revive ability is her unique ability…. Not her Leader Ability… So it’s obvius, when she is defeated, her unique ability not work -_-

  34. By end of day I should have my 6* CPT Phasma at lvl 53 with lvl VII gear. She only gives a 16% chance for all ally assists, which really is quite low. However, the rate seems higher than that, as I see the ability activate several times per battle. In addition, when the assist comes from my Duku, who is at the same char lvl & gear lvl, and his double attack activates, the damage is quite devastating!! On the other hand, I have been annihilated a couple of times when my opponent had almost the exact same team as I, but apparently a bit faster. Also, the cool downs for her abilities r quite long too, which sucks when it comes to multiple battles in galactic war. Still, she is definitely one of my favorite in game characters and leader.

    • Oh, and I forgot to mention that I need some better allies. Please add me if u need better allies too and have a strong team that can consistently rank at least under 75 in the arena. By the way, I really like the info on this site. Its a lot of work to upkeep but you guys are doing a magnificent job.

    • When Phasma attacks, she is a First Order character, so that already doubles the chance on her turn to 32% (40% fully levelled)

  35. Captain Phasma as a leader with a Kylo Ren is a very charming couple.
    Kylo Ren counts also as first order so his bonus is doubled to bonus attack and his normal attack make add additional DMG-DOT and/or no-healing DOT.

  36. Great character, definitely worth the investment. Make sure to keep her assist ability in mind even when using an aoe attack or team buff. If the assist triggers it will use the target you had when using the aoe or buff. This becomes especially important when you have a someone like TIE Fighter pilot who’s first ability will likely kill any opposing non-Tanky character.

  37. I can’t decide if I want her as a leader or Lumi. I like evading, but the extra attack chance with Sid and Dooku is amazing. I’m tempted to level up the Genosian Soldier and IG 86 to start a giant chain reaction of extra attacks. They are so soft though and would be killed right away. I think Phasma is amazing and sooo easy to farm. Shouldn’t be hard to get to 5*. Have to finish my 6* lumi first.

  38. This a really versatile leader ability, with the high damage of the first order squad, OR you can build a counter attack squad, with Dooku, Kylo Rey,kit fisto and a good healer, you’ll have alot of chances to be striking out of turn.

    Her first ability is pretty good especially in protecting the squishy Dooku.

    • Another good combo is a stun squad
      Dooku, Old Daka, Ventress, and (insert favorite)
      My 5th is HK-47.
      The leader ability is great with stunning units as the additional attack also includes stunning a vital enemy. Even, when your healer is healing everyone there’s still a chance and extra attack will be made.
      Extra attacks means more damage dealt, and more opportunities to stun important units like Jedi healers

    • As counter goes, Aayla is pretty good too 65%counter.

      And FO stormtrooper, has 50% counter also and triggers 2x Plasma’s ability.. and lots of HP too

  39. So.. the new character inspired by the Force Awakens..

    Captain Phasma is really a nice niche character for people that are just starting out. I really appreciate EA Games for giving out this free character, especially since she’s dark side (and yes, it’s a female).

    However, she’s a little weak when I see the raw statistics, except for Health. She has a lot of that.

    Her damage is nice and her leader skill gives a lot of random variability. If you’re willing to take a chance and build a First Order team, I’d put her at the front.

    She’s a strong lead with a little damage variance, and can also land some serious damage with crits.

    Good character, needs a little adjustment and she’ll be A Ok.
