  1. One of my best toons and strongest at 3* and gear lvl 7, he’s always the last to be taken out if I’m losing. Planning to run him with:
Old daka- stunning, healing and revive.
    Aayla secura- counter and assist.
    Barriss offee- healing.
    Luminara- healing.

    5
  2. Definitely the strongest character on my team. A true tank – very high health and tough to damage. In addition his attacks aren’t bad either, especially his cooldown.

The speed down applied by his basic really makes any battle manageable.

I’ve gotten down to just him and taken down two or three others on the opposing team to win – just like many others on here have stated.

Highly recommend acquiring/farming. He’s a staple of any team I use.

    5
  3. Idk the issue but he raped me. Phasma as leader. He killed my RG lvl 80 7* lvl 9 and lvl 15 HP-Mods in one turn. Phasma started to shoot, he assisted and didnt stopped shooting. Wtf… He killed my whole team. I mean i have rey and i thought i stun him with RG… no way. Never seen this before.

5s is hands down my most important toon. Countless times I’ve only had him remaining while my arena opposition had 3 full health/protection toons left, and he has pulled it out every time.

I am on a day 1 server and finish top 10 daily.

    My roster:

Anakin lead, Rey, 5s, RG, and QGJ. I would drop any of them before 5s.

My 5s has all 5* lvl15 mods. He has the health and protection of RG. He has a speed of almost 140. He went from 5% potency to 45%. He has amazing bonuses to offense, especially under the Anakin lead he crits over 7k on his basic and almost 10k on his assist…and they are all health mods.

Get 5s and put him in your lineup.

  5. Ok, so because I love this site and the competition i’m going to drop a gem.
fives is by far the single strongest champ there is.
that being said you ought focus on amplifying his strength in the rest of his team.
I work 2 teams mainly, a climbing team and a holding team.

If you want to hold the #1 arena spot the goal is to have a team to last 5 mins.

    I use Ima Gun-Di leader.
30 defense for all allies means just a little more sturdiness to 5s and the squad
35% counter with 25%damage on jedi makes the squad resemble 5s

Ima is a stout tank with great damage and defense up and down control.

Next is of course Old Ben, like 5’s the health and defensiveness of obi wan is top notch
He also controls turn meter among other crippling debuffs, so speed is certainly not your weak point either (on top of beefy counter attackers).
obi will even push 5’s to be 4th to kill due to his dreaded passive “if you strike me down”

So next to jump in will be the healer tank Barriss Offee who is of the top 3 health-bearers, obi and 5s, she ignores healing immunity so focusing just one person who can be poolex back up no problem is an awesome security. Having counter on barriss ensures the smartest opponent will be equipped with weaker than necessary champs for stun locking. Which they may find useless to barriss’ passive at the end of her turn!

And now the final solidification of the squad is the all-obnoxious pre-vader menace, Jedi Knight Anakin who has an insane pool of health for being labeled attacker just like vader. Making 5 insanely healthy, defensive, counter attacking w/ extra damage, not terribly weak, not terribly slow characters. One who can health balance, heal and defense up 2 turns, one who AoE ability blocks, and offense downs with turn meter reduction, one who healing buff immunes and extra turns when team dies, and one who defense up and downs. Providing the leadership counters. To me that is the best standing squad to retain a position in the arena. I don’t have old ben unlocked yet but i have anakin g11 and ima gun-di g10 and 5s and barriss are close so I’m positive I’ll be holding the #1 spot with ease in the next couple months. 5s is the key to a team that lasts 5 minutes.

    • Did they nerf the guy?
Im a new player, just got him 3* lvl 43 and armor IV with some other pieces. I know he has a lot of things to improve, but comparing to my other characters his dmg is very low. I think even chewby does more dmg…

      • Just been kicked by a Fives at max all (7*, lvl 80, gear max, and level max for abilities).

It was the last man standing in my last GW battle. Kicked 4 toons, 3 of them 7* lvl 75 (Ahsoka, Lumi, Eeth Koth) plus QGJ 5* lvl 72.

His Counter hits hard (+50% counter damage) and his Basic also at that level since it hits twice when the opponent has Speed Down, which is everytime the case since he applies himself this Speed Down. So around 5000 dmg for everyshot and counter.

Nice toon. I have it at 5* but now consider to upgrade it at 7*.

I have a pure Jedi counter team with Ima, Ahsoka, Lumi, QGJ and Eeth Koth. Will replace one with Fives.

        0
      • He isn’t nerfed
you just need to upgrade him
I have him at 5* and almost IX armor, he have 5k power, his damage is over 1,5k and his special hits on critical 4k.
His HP is 16k, protection 17k with health and defense modes
        and I am f2p
Just continue to improve him, he’ll be worth

        5
  6. I have seen him in arena many times last man standing and killing my 4 toons! He has a bonus attack what means he counters with 4 attacks. Whats that?

    5
  7. I just soloed the max INT gear challenge with Fives. He is definitely strong!

  8. Fives have always been a solid char, but after the protection update and with the lvl 76 upgrade to his base attack he is an absolute dreadnough. I just watched him take down lvl 75 Rg, Rey, Gs and Qgj, some of them with lots of protection still intact, SINGLEHANDEDLY after the rest of my team got wiped. Rey was running on red health, but stil… Wow.

It’s sad they axed the lvl8 +25 counter damage, but frankly: That would have been absolutely ridiculous.

    5
  9. Lol I wish the various clones were usable in BOTH light side AND dark side battles (in honor of O:66) no change in faction..just usable in both.

    0
  10. Be warned: Though I have seen opposition counter both an attack and my assist, I have never seen Fives do the same. The most he ever counters is the initial attack.

Given the number of times he has failed to counter the assist I presume that there is some bug involved here, though I’m unsure whether he should counter assists or the opposition should not counter assists.

  11. “A tank’s job is to reduce incoming damage on the team, can be done through debuffing, turn meter manipulating or taunting. THe last one is the only one that doesnt actually reduce damage, just take it all on the tank”

What? The tank should have higher mitigation than the rest, so yes he will reduce the overall damage done. I use Han, and while what you said is otherwise correct, his taunt is also turn manipulation, reducing damage done by having more turns relative to the enemy. I love him but I’m seeing him less and less as I get into the top 50. If my team makes it to his taunt still alive though, I win.

    0
  12. I don’t have him and he’s one of two characters I dread facing (other is Rey). It takes very careful strategy to plan attacks against him due to his huge damage on counter attacks, which can really throw you off your offensive strategy. I will try to avoid GW teams with him.

    5
  13. Pro’s
+Very Good in PVP great in GW and against Elite/Bosses
+He’s Fast and has an Assist attack
+He can take a beating and he counters hard
    +He applies slow a lot
+He’s good after just a few abilities are acquired and he gears fast

    Con’s
-Farming him means choosing between Poe, Daka, & QGJ but you can waste energy on hard matches to help speed things up a bit.

    Who to choose:
    @lv45
-Poe doesn’t feel like a game changer in PvP yet maybe that will change soon. He’s pretty useless in GW good for 1 match.
-QGJ is good in PvP but he can’t get his Offense Up ability until you reach lv60 so you can hold off getting him right off the bat.
-Daka if you need her you’ll regret going for anyone else she takes a hell of a long time to farm and you might be lacking in dark side characters at the start.

    CT555 4-5* > Poe 4-5* > QGJ 7*

    I’m praying i won’t need Daka

    5
  14. I use fives in my main team, but I probably have to replace him soon enough. Like people mentioned, he is a great toon! High health plus counter just really works great. Decent damage with assists and great ability to slow. So why replace him? Simply because there are better toons to use. He performs alright but now I entered the top 50 in my server, he just doesn’t put enough work in battles compared to the stronger toons in the game. I got him at 6*. But I will continue to get him to 7*. Why? Because if more clones get released (and maybe rex someday becomes ftp) and lvl 80 get released, 5s gains some huge advantages. So yeah, 5s is great, but not amazing. But he has a lot of potential for the future, that is what I believe!

    4
  15. The fact his Pvp ranking is so low is a outragethe Guy is great in PVP. Punishes aoe/ slows down the enemy/ his counter acutally deals more damage/ His assist in the right team can pretty much osko almost anyone/ tons and tons of hp.

He is a stable in my arena ever since i unlocked and gearing his pretty easy.

    5
  16. His max lvl counter attack is the BEST. I can only imagine, how opponent must feel when he sees him…”NO, please, pretty please, if I don’t hit, you neither, right!?
My 5555 works with max Sidious and First Order Stormtrooper and they become one hell of a team. They simply survive a LONG time.

  17. I don’t know if I should star up 5s or get Qui-Gon Jinn. Any advice?

    (I already have a 4-star fives)

    • Verfallen Aingealis

I’ve chosen to concentrate on CT first.

Main reason is, to field a really strong jedi team and fully get Qui-Gon’s value, I’d need to shelves a lot of money to get the better jedi. While I have well geared and starred Lumi and Consular (going on their 7th this week) I feel that Dooku and CT-5 countering any aoes pretty hard is currently a better addition to my team than a speed boost on lumi and the consular.

Also, speed down in a way still keeps my hero attacking more often, altough obviously its liable to be resisted/countered and isn’t practical to always use, it can slow down an enemy hero that is dangerous but with which I cannot deal right away.

This is from a mostly f2p point of view, my team is fully f2p grinded, and does pretty well in squad arena.

      Sid (Leader)(arena shipment grind)
      Lumi (GW Shipment grind)
      Consular (Cantina battle grind)
CT-5 (Cantina shipment grind (altough got daka 1st for my DS campaign progression needs)
Dooku (only 3 stars, but is control ability on the jedi and counters makes him a truly good addition to any team imo) (Slow and painful Hard battle grind, no idea when the Cantina Battle becomes availaible, still don’t have it at 56)

Overall CT-5 is a very sturdy, with solid control through his basic attacks when they counter, and his assist can be quite good depending on who takes it. With a good team, you are quite sure its going to hurt.

Giving a 5, pretty good standalone, but will enhence any team he’s with, and focusing him down first is not very doable, unless he’s with a crappy team.

      5
    • It depends on what you need, Qui-Gon is making a change in beta, im starting to see a lots of teams with 2 taunts because qui-gon 2ºnd special, breaks taunt and gives offence up to the all team members and that is the best buff you can have, i would go for Qui-Gon, its a no-brainer.

      0
    • Fives of course
If you need another attacker you should farm Luminara( she is great and extremely easy to farm) or Kylo Ren( he is harder to farm but he is worth the work)

      5
  18. I really like this hero as Area and GW tank. A combo of assist, counter-attack and assured snare make it an above average damage dealer and an controller.

Both armor and health are great, tenacity is not, at all. Its clearly under-rated for a tank-based archetype. Nearly every hit that is not defended and can land a debuff, will do it. But thats only a real trouble in GW.

I notice that nobody mentions its speed, most likely due to the arrival of super-Poe, but its actuallt really fast. It will do a great work slowing annoying heros, like Dooku, and Dooku, or even Dooku ;P

In the same way its also great to snare slow heros, basically crippling Ahsoka, Ventress, Maul, etc… If these heros cant use their incredible power, tank work is done, just that instead of absorbing damage, denying the the enemy the chance to deal it.

But, what is good for somethings, is bad for others. If you are forced to attack a taunter that is being healed and you snare it, the skill will play in the enmy side. This goes specially for Han and Chewie, cause Poe just lack the health-armor to actually survive its own taunt even with heals. Also snaring a Kylo with Retribution up will create a second Dooku, that also deal healing inmmunity, so be carefull there, and just do the opposite, snare Kylo when the buff is not up.

Anyways it can find a niche in every team, being an all-around counter to enemy due to turn-control with snares.

    Useless against: taunters.
Usefull against: Dooku, Kylo, sidious, Ventress, Vader, Maul, Tano, etc…. AoEs, fast, and slow, heroes.

Negative: tenacity, lack of a third skill instead of the basically pointless leader one.
    Positive: health, armor, snares, assists.

PVE: 8/10. Nothing new to the things added up in this post.
PVP: 9/10. Just snare them, or let their AoEs trigger a counter-attack and they will snare themselves 😉

An awesome hero, like nearly all you can get in Cantina shipments.

    0
  19. To answer the question of “Who do I get first with cantina points?”. It’s 5’s. Not “I take a turn every other round” Fett. Lots of good in those shipments, but I’m sincere. 5’s is the first choice, even if Daka is ultimately better (or whom ever the troll is about to argue). His assist with Phasma, 86, and GS. His counter with huge life pool really add up.
5*, because he is a must have, get early, farmable, and great in GW.

    5
    • You will eventually need Daka to complete the Dark side hard modes. Fives is the 2nd NO DOUBT, but Daka goes first.

I say this cause i made the mistake to unlock Fives first, and climbing through the dark side i plainly painfull, lets not speak about shard farming there…

Fives is simply awesome, and is in my area team with just three stars cause of that, but Daka is the must have. You just need her.

      0
      • i complete Dark side hard mode by using only talia. Daka still 4 stars so she is not i the team yet. 5s is in my GW team as well as my PV team.
but well, the top u should get will be Poe>QGJ>Daka=5s
if u have Poe in the team mot many ppl will attack u in PV.
my rank is around 30 to 50. if i have a 7 star Poe my rank will be around 20 to 30 i think. thats how good poe is. also with 7 star QGJ i might rank in top 10…

        0
        • Any CT5555s I see in Arena, I ignore them and take them out last. His counter-attack is second to Dooku only, but damage and speed are not comparable. Ok, he’s got tons of health, but what’s the use if he’s the only toon left after 2-3 turns which is more or less all you get in top 10 of Arena. Better go with Kylo: comparable health and always procs 100% retribution and cooldown reset from AoE damage. Believe me I’m in top 10 (can also easily beat No.1 if log in at right time), but there are no 5ives among top teams.
Here’s list of priorities for Cantina shipments: get Poe, 4* or 5* is sufficient. He is reason I don’t fall beyond top 20 even if I don’t play a day or two. Then get QGJ to 7*, he’s current meta changer and the only viable anti-Poe tactic and is the reason I can beat any player. Old Daka is obviously next, for DS missions and also in Arena where she is probably at par to Lumi. You may want to get Ahsoka for Yoda challenge. But CT, he’s only an annoying toon in GW, not a great toon for PvP. Don’t waste precious cantina gems.

          0
    • So I’ve played a while now, and apologize for the hasty post. This was written before I was in the top 100, and before QGJ shipments.
So agree 100% you’ll need a 5* Daka as soon as possible should you feel the need to go past level 5 hard battles on Dark side.
Poe is in nearly every team in top tier Arena, so if you’re looking to get there, you’ll need him. I don’t have him, I’m 60, and I’m finishing in the 90s. Just saying he’s not needed, but he really is.
Fives is still amazing, but so is QGJ. I’m partial to 5555, but that QGJ special hurts. So all in all he’s not the must have I thought, just one I really enjoy

      0
  20. Fives may not hit hard on his own, but with having very high health and defense stats along with a good counter attack chance, he is easily one of the most annoying characters to take down.

    0
  21. I am thinking of replacing Chewbacca with Fives. With him, Dooku, and Captain Phasma(as the leader, with her 16% chance for allies to counter attack) I have a team with a lot of counter attack chances. I also run Jedi counselor and Luminara for 2 healers. Anyone’s thoughts on this??

    Thanks in advance.

    0
    • Old Daka should replace jedi consular in the long run. Her basic/ally assist attack has a good chance to stun 2 enemies. With the chance for ally assist you can pull off some stun locking.

      0
    • Ally assist is NOT a counter attack. It is a bonus attack. (When a character attacks, another character attacks the same target.) It’s like Qui-Gon Jinn’s, IG-86, and Geonosian Soldier’s special attacks in a passive form.

      0
    • Phasma adds 0% chance to counter attack, and counter attack does not proc assists from Phasma’s leader skill

      0
  22. Very solid character you can get without paying into game. Very tanky with decent damage output especially when counter is upgraded.

    5
    • High counter chance, slow, Assist, and high HP for great synergy with Barriss. Solid all around.

      0
    • Defense wise he seems a little weak. Any fives I’ve encountered i just ignored them. A tank without taunt is flawed.

      0
      • Except when it’s 3-1 in Arena and his slows and counters save the day.

        0
      • Verfallen Aingealis

        Thats deeply false.

While Poe’s taunt can be key to some team setup, chewie’s taunt, as an exemple is just mostly annoying and will very rarely change the outcome. Only makes a sure victory easier, and maybe drag out the pain a bit.

A tank’s job is to reduce incoming damage on the team, can be done through debuffing, turn meter manipulating or taunting. THe last one is the only one that doesnt actually reduce damage, just take it all on the tank, and if you face a truly more powerful team, you’ll just see your tank go down in half a turn, especially if among the other team a sid gets a healing debuff on him (chewie mostly, Poe’s high tenacity keeps him from that fate)

Poe’s a good taunt tank, but for other reason than just his taunt. He also applies offense down.

CT-5 slows down the other team, and punish aoes quite hard. Along with other counter, or with Phasma providing assists, its surprising the effects it can have.
