    There are many major assist-special attackers:
    1. Biggs Darklighter (most health, critical-chance focused, slowest, evasion-buff ability)

    2. Geonosian Soldier (medium health, offense-up focused, fastest, turn meter on crit ability)

    3. IG-86 (lowest health, crit chance and crit damage focused, medium speed, crit chance and crit damage to self ability)

    4. Qui-Gon Jinn (medium health, speed-focused, enemy buff dispel, high speed, Jedi speed buff ability)

    5. Tusken Raider (massive health pool, tusken synergy, good speed, enemy turn meter reduction, offense buff ability)

    6. CT-5555 “Fives” (GIGANTIC health pool, lowest damage, clone synergy, low speed, counterattack ability, enemy speed reduction)

    7. Chief Chirpa (lowest health, good damage, ewok synergy, lowest speed, team heal, team speed buff, damage buff and turn meter gain on basics)

  3. Really don’t want to start farming him and then have him get nerfed as soon as I finally get him raised. But he is seriously too good to not persue. I don’t even battle against any squads with him in the lineup. Him with a royal guard and maybe another tank that taunts is almost unbeatable. (only rating him high because he is that good. Not because I like him. Personal rating is a -1 lol)

  8. Must have for speed and assist. Hard to collect shards quickly. Be in it for the long haul, best behind a tank that can taunt. Fun if mixed with plasma, QG, Biggs, i86.

  9. Did anyone else notice his cooldown got changed? I played him last week with QGJ – both had the assist attack, one turn to do a regular attack, then assist again. His swarm is now at a cooldown of 2, not 1.

  10. If you have a taunt guy (such as royal guard), get Jinn instead. I’m running Jinn, Dooku, ig-89, luminari, and sid right now. The strategy is to take out 1-2 enemies before their turn. It works extremely effectively due to all of the bonus attacks. Going to switch out Sid for Royal Guard in pvp once I can farm more of his shards

    Geonosian Soldier’s rank 8 special upgrade has been changed to “Damage +15%”.

  13. Is anyone else getting a weird glitch with GS? I have him geared to Level 7 on his swarm ability, which should reduce his cooldown to 2. However, every now and then, the game reverts him to a cooldown of 3, in which case I have to close the app and restart. Any idea why?

    • Yes I have had that glitch as well. I kept forgetting to mention it on forums b/c it is very infrequent. I did not need to restart the app to fix it, it was just entirely random as to when it would happen. I had asked a friend if there was a cooldown debuff, lol. Apparently not one he is aware of. Maybe we should post in the forums so some devs see it.

  14. amazing i have him 7 star gears level IX (MAX) and he wrecks. great speed, he almost always goes first and can pretty much take out anyone he wants (even tanks) with swarm + with swarm lvl 8 (like i have) he gets to call an assist every turn. Unlike many attackers he does not trade health for attack, he has both.

    • Hiya I’m newish to the game and I was wondering, if when you get a basic troop like GS or ST up to 7* like you have can you then start a new one so that you have more than one?

      • Nope, you are limited to only one character. When you reach level 70 at the endgame, any extra shards you receive over the cap will be turned into currency to buy other character shards.

    • I faced a genosian soldier in arena today and when he called an assist, two other characters assisted. Devastating. Is that really an ability?

  16. GS quickly became my top character once I started farming. I’m running a crit comp rn with Boba lead (+50% crit damage). Needless to say, his attacks are quite scary!

  17. Not sure whether to have GS in my arena squad with HK-47 (L) IG-88 IG-86 Poggle and possibly Poe for the taunt while the droids destroys the other team, I already have a lot of firepower and GS doesn’t have much synergies but he isn’t really a glass cannon either

    • I would switch out HK for GS and put Poggle at lead along with having Poe on your team. It’s a stronger endgame team.

        • The turn meter gain is nice, but in that case you’re going with something that doesn’t have a 100% chance of happening on 3/5 of your characters. With Poggle at lead, you getting a sure bonus on 4/5 characters that stacks with his offense up. You’ll likely kill 2 toons on the other team in the first turn, in which case the bonus turn meter is pretty irrelevant. Frankly GS is just too much of a monster to pass up, and Poe is a necessity to protect your damage characters.

          Also, with HK at lead if one of your IG’s gets taken out by say a Qui-gon led team that has everyone go before you, then you’ll have already lost the match since you only have one person left that does any real damage.

          • I agree then I suppose because HK is quite slow although he is quite tanky but poe’s taunt covers the team unless the enemy has QGJ. HK isn’t really an attacker either, whereas GS can 1 shot a lot of glass cannons early on with his speed. Thanks for the advice

    • yep. sure worth it. though he would shine better in a crit-based team. speed + high damage + turn-gain what more can you ask for a hitter?

    • I’ve got him maxed gear and 7* now, he is worth it. Now that he is 7* I consistently finish in the top 5 on my server as a FTP player.

  19. Most OP hero currently in game. Most characters sacrifice health for high damage but not GS. He has a 1 turn cooldown on his special which hits like a train, his basic gives offense up and hits like a truck, he has a sizable amount of health, AND he is super speedy allowing him to go near first if not outright to one-shot giving u a huge 5v4 advantage 9/10 times.

    • Been sayin this for a long time. They boosted his rating to 95 which means he’ll get nerfed a bit next update allng with Qui-Gon. Well, it was good while it lasted.

      My favorite is when my 7* Nightsister Initiate hits with Goe’s tag team with Sidius at the lead. 10-12k crit damage, sometimes more. Hehehe. Crushing punk fools.

  20. How is he only 70 in PvP?

    His speed is ridiculous, he hits like a mack truck. And he generally hits before the dredded Poe defensive, hitting him for 6-8k if you crit (with Sidius in the lead) + his friend’s tag team, meaning that all but the strongest Poes are on life support after the first go.

    But i suppose i can let everyone undervalue Geo. dude’s the boss.

  21. he is fast, for sure can land first hit.
    if he gets a crits he might end the fight on one hit.
    with a good user he can be really bad.
    with assist and offence up… thats why i always kill him first.

  22. I’m consistently top 20, sometimes top 10 on my server and haven’t spent a penny. This guy is the main reason why. He hits with critical damage consistently he doesn’t need any chemistry he is just a stud.

    • One Shots? Not end game he doesn’t! Maybe in the mid. The only one shots are on his assist/attack and I wouldn’t consider that a 1 shot nor does it happen a lot when the toons are maxed at 70. So stop whining.

      I loathe nerf birds constantly whining about this character and that. Get over it and start farming. I would much prefer balance lifts to other characters to balance the game instead of nerfing.

      • Some people don’t WAN’T to HAVE to farm him. Some people would like to see other synergies work AND have the potential to reach top 10 as well as I’m sure that is what the debs intended. I would really like to see a full sith team become viable. The ONLY reason why anyone uses the stupid bug (including yourself) is because he’s OP and you know it. Qui Gon is understandable, he’s a Jedi, Rey and Old Ben are too. People shouldn’t have to guess which characters are going to be OP after an update OR have to play catch up on some stupid no-name character that never ever should have been outclassing others in the first place. I loathe the tryhards that only use what they know to be OP characters and say everyone else is “whining” or foolish not to use them. To “balance” the game there are a TON of characters that deserve buffing. A simple moderate, not aggressive nerf will do for now. I hope his rating gets to 100. I refuse to farm that bug, I’ll settle with top 50 thank you.

  24. Definitely one of my favorites. I got him in a free pack at 3 stars and upgraded him for fun to 4 stars. Currently level 60 on g4.
    His ability crits like 70% of all the time and hits easily for 5k and even more combined with boba fett, dooku, and sidious as an ally team leader. This guy is a beast being able to oneshot healers and supporters. I would say he is almost as good as FOTP.
    Its definitely worth to farm this.

Changing my rating to 5* primarily because GS gets decent HP at 7*, really amazing damage, and most notably I just noticed that GS’s auto-attack applies the buff before calculating damage on attack. This means it’s possible to hit for 5k+ on an auto when not buffed initially. Gnarly damage. Swarm on crit with buff is typically 8.5k+ also.

  28. Noticed that most teams in top 10 PvP on my server have Geonosian. No synergy with any of those teams, except one with Poggle; but, hey, Speed, Health and nice S-Damage + assist is a nice combination. In fact, he’s fastest among tankier characters and definitely with the biggest S-damage.

    Not OP, like Poe, but easily 4.5/5.0

    P.S.: just finished a PvP battle, and I swear that Geonosian called himself for an assist and then attacked the third time in a row (probably as leader was Phasma) when he was the only toon left in opposing team. So funny! Killed one of my remaining 4 toons but got nailed by Leia.

    • Probably happened due to his Crit–>Gain Turn Meter ability. I’m still building him up, but ever since I bumped his passive abilities to lv5, I’ve noticed him getting two attacks in a row fairly often.

  29. Wish I had farmed this guy instead of Luke. He’s faster than Luke, hits harder than Luke (a LOT harder with his perm offense up) and calls an ally to assist. Most OP toon in the game that is easily farmable.

    • He’s IG-86 without the droid synergies, but with turn meter gain, more hitpoints, more damage, more speed, and no droid weaknesses. Only downside is that he’s harder to farm (though easier than some).

      I’ve only got him to 5*, but already he’s on par with my 7* 86, Lumi, and Sid in usability, and doing quite a bit more damage than the latter two. Can’t wait to see him at 7*… ^_^

  30. Nerf alert. The increased his cooldown. He used to go every use swarm every other turn at level 5. Now he has a two turn cool down. Someone at EA is reading this website.

      • @RailTracer, my swarm skill is currently lvl 6 and my turns are as you state. which means Mol asks a valid question, being able to call an assist EVERY turn would be insane! (makes me glad i’ve been investing in him)

        I wonder if his +crit chance stacks with leader abilities like Sid. anyone know?

        • that level 8 swarm every turn would be unreal. He is already a stud for me. if only I hadn’t wasted cantina energy on Luke and JC early.

  32. Now with the level 70 upgrade, Geo is better than ever. Three of his gear level 8 slots will take some dedication, with one being 50 parts of one item found in stage 8 or something, but you could get him to 9. After Luminara, Geo is my most indispensable character. 5*, Gear Level 8, level 61, 4200 power.

  33. I run at droid team. Currently level 54.

    HK-47 4* gear max abilities 5 (leader)
    IG-88 5* gear 1 from max abilities 5
    IG-86 5* gear max abilities 5
    Poggle 4* gear max abilities 4 and 5
    Geo 5* gear max abilities 5

    You want HK as your leader for the extra crit chance and 30% turn meter gain on crits. The turn meter gain is what makes this team deadly. The droids crit a lot giving themselves turn meter, Geo gives himself 30% whenever he crits, and even Poggle has a chance to gain turn meter on his buff, and whenever he evades. Poggles speed allows him or Geo to go first and apply offense up to everyone, and speed up to droids.

    The assist specials on Geo and 86 hit hard and call an assist. They also reduce cool downs for whoever they call as it counts as a turn.

    If Geo calls an assist and it’s a droid, the droid has a chance to crit and gain turn meter. If he calls 88 there is a chance for a heal block, if he calls HK there is a chance for HK to give himself offense up. If he calls 86, that’s almost a guaranteed crit from 86 with a turn meter gain. If he calls Pog, they both get a damage bonus and a chance for ability block.

    Ig-86 hits very hard and with HK’s leader ability and his own crit bonuses, he almost always crits and gains turn meter. His call assist can call a droid or Geo and give them a chance to crit and gain turn meter. Worst case he calls Pog and has a chance to ability block.

    IG-88 hits hard on his main, and does a hard hitting AOE attack that does additional damage if there are any negative buffs to enemy. He might benefit the most from HKs leadership skill. When he does his AOE it has multiple chances to crit and gain turn meter, sometimes allowing him to go twice in a row. If he gets 4 crits on his AOE he gains 120% turn meter and goes again immediately and has his meter partially filled for next turn.

    HK again, is the key to this team. His main attack hits ok, but not great. His special is great in that it does ok damage, but has a 25% chance to apply four different de buffs, and dbl chance vs Jedi. It also has a chance for multiple crits and turn meter fills the same as 88, and he can get to go twice in a row. If you can get the debuffs on before you use 88s special, it adds a lot of extra damage to 88s attack.

    This all adds up to a very fast, hard hitting, critical boosting team that synergize very nicely. I finish top 5 consistently against teams with 2-3k more power. The downside is that they are not so great on defense.

    For defense I am working on getting my Poe starred and geared up. His speed should allow him to get his taunt off and protect the droids for a cpl rounds while they dish the dmg.

  35. Anyone know if assists decrease CD for characters that attack out of turn? If so this just makes GS that much more awesome.

    • I can’t confirm 100%, but I’m sure it does. So to clarify, if basic attack has an ability, when character uses that attack (even as an assist) there is a chance to proc it’s ability (like a cool down -1)

      • i tested this with Phasma as lead, and her leader ability doesn’t proc CD’s which means that other toon’s assists shouldn’t either, however it does give the assisting character’s bonus abilities to proc (old daka’s stuns, dookus bonus attacks/turn meter generation, 5555’s slow down, sidious’ heal immunity)

    • I think it does also after some more observation. I think his GW rating should be bumped up to 70 because swarm is every other turn and GS typically goes second (based on how he rolls in the RNG). He’s a standard on my GW because he helps nuke one character every other turn. It also refreshes heal CD on other toons in the team!

  36. Hey everyone. I know its been stated but I am having a hard time figuring out who my 5th spot of my droid team should be. Obv Poggle, Ig-88, Ig-86, HK-47. My problem is should i go genoshian soldier, sidius, luminar, or boba fett? Thank you for your input. It is greatly appreciated.

    • You already have an ability block with IG-88 so I don’t see the point with Fett. Sid will help prevent healers, but your damage is so high you could concentrate down anyone in a round. GS would ensure that you could take down at least one character per round. Luminara would improve your survivability in case something hits the fan. I would just go with GS, and if you can’t hold your spot on ladder switch to Lumi

      • Thank you so much for the imput. I had one more question if anyone could shed some light on it. Who would be the best leader in this team? I was thinking HK-47 because of the crit chance and turn meter boost, but now I am thinking Poggle because he grants 25% offense up with his leader ability then 25% more offense up when he casts his move.         • I was actually thinking more about your situation and fett may be good in that he adds negative effects on everyone, which would increase IG-88’s damage.

          Fyi offense up is 50% increase in damage, not 25% :)

          As far as leader goes, I would choose between HK-47 and Poggle. If you crit enough, then use Poggle as leader (he also has synergy with GS). If you don’t crit enough, go with HK-47 for the 30% boost in crit % and turn meter gain.

          • Speculating on numbers, with a Poggle leader, a Geonosian soldier at level 60 with 4* with offense up buff could hit for about 6.25k and also call an assist to help. With HK-47 GS would hit for 5k crit with offense up buff, but would crit more often.

          • Interesting thank you so much for your insight. I think my team will be poggle (leader) hk 47,ig-88,ig-86 and GS. I love the assists that GS and ig 86 provide and the offense up allows me to quickly make the fight a 5v4 even 5v3.

      • IG-88 applies healing immunity, not ability block, so Fett is still viable, but doesn’t synergize well with this squad, honestly. Sid would help further counter healers, but like you said, droid squads tend to chew through healers.

        Geo. Soldier goes well, particularly due to his calling assists to get your droids some extra turns (in addition to applying synergy with Poggle). Lumi would be good to keep your droids up, but IG-88 is so squishy it won’t matter.

        A final option you didn’t mention is IG-100. Who’s actually quite handy by reducing opposing team’s turn-meters (which helps the droids maintain turn-meter advantage), and while his offense-down via crit tends to get resisted a LOT due to his low potency, it can be a god-sent if it sticks. Alternatively, you could throw in Obi-Wan to fill the exact same role (offense down, turn-meter reduction), but you’ll risk having another non-droid being called to assist.

        Lastly, there’s Poe (or Han) to add to the equation. These 2 heroes presence among droids can result in making a droid squad borderline OP.

  37. Soldier’s pretty good for just damage. He has 0 control though and just 3 skills.

    • My 4* GS with sid as leader hits for ~6k crit with swarm, and that’s not even including the assist. If GS had control also he’d be way OP

  39. Stars out fair, but he only costs 25 and 25 more to 3 star. By the time you invest himto 4 star and get him to gear level 6 or like me 7 with his attacks in the fives, he has very little to fear. His first strike is surpassed by only Dooku’s and a very high level Sidius – and his first, third, fifth, seventh, and every odd attack brings a friend with him. His cooldown is amazing, and all of his attacks do about 2000 damage standard. Any buffs at all, he’s hitting 4k.

  40. Anybody know how much the damage boost from “Swarm” is % wise? Seems like a good char with Poggles the Lesser and the 3 droids (HK-47, IG-86, IG-88)

  43. I initially got him because I just needed a body for the dark side and he was an easy get. Now I’m level 60 and still using him on my A squad due to the huge damage.

    With Geno offense up Swarm ability and Geno+Lumi crits you can sometimes one shot heroes if you count the dps from the assister due to getting 8k total damage or so.

  44. Gano is currently my fave guy. Kicks ass at 5 star and purple gear. The spec with single turn cooldown is ace, and his speed is high. Sid is more important to my team, but Gano is the fun part. Hoping to see what Poggle brings to the party once I’m done leveling sid and Lumi..

  45. Why have we overlooked this character? I’m critting 4K on the special constantly with the ridiculously-easy-to-get-but-incredibly-powerful attack buff, not to mention the bonus attack by other characters that either deal bonus debuts or high attacks. Crit rate is decent even without any synergy. Normal attacks are 2k plus easily at gear 6 lv 40-50, especially with Sid leading. This guy in the right team decimates anyone with ease.

    • Debuffs and high damages*. Also, the high speed and special ability enables him to attack many times in the time of one turn for other characters. Even possible to team with characters like Chewie who remove turn meters and abuse the special ability to hit three or more times before enemies have one turn.
