  1. HK’s Omega Ability for his revive sucks.

100% revive chance? i don’t give two shits about that.

What it should be is 100% turn meter on revive with a stun on his basic, so he gets an attack if he does come back, and maybe gets a lucky break.

because otherwise at this point he’s dead before he gets a chance to strike back anyway.

This would make his revive mechanic actually kind of scary.

  2. I’ve been driving droids as my main team for a long time now. So here’s my most honest review of HK.

    – His speed is his biggest downside. He’s quite slow. With his leader buff he stands a chance to crit himself to a respectable speed but don’t rely on it.
    – His attack power is average. His primary attack comes with a high chance self-buff though so he can hit hard enough at times. (With that being said he still hits harder than most jedi)
    – His AoE’s main use is the debuffs it can inflict. The chance of any one hitting is low but when maxed out most targets will receive at least one de-buff. (This pairs well with IG88s ability of increase crit damage when enemies have debuffs) Also, with his leader buff you will crit at least once or twice allowing for a quick second turn.
    – His leader buff is where he shines. IG86 will almost always crit when HK47 leads and IG88 will crit reliably as well giving each a huge speed boost. (note at level 8 this ability grants 50% turn meter on crit). It’s not uncommon to have droids taking 2 turns to every one of an opponent’s.
    – His self- revive is nice though not particularly useful. Its most handy in GW and of limited use in arena (If HK dies the match was likely already doing south.)

HK shines when leading IG 88 and IG 86 into battle. When maxed out, his leader buff allows for a large number of extra turns allowing for quick kills through taunters and healers. I wouldn’t recommend HK alone but you will never regret having the trio in a match.

  3. It’s seems that HK-47 leader abilty doesn’t affects droid anymore, but Scoundrels…

  4. I see HK a lot in droid teams (usually with Poe as a tank) and I love fighting them. They’re instant rank increases because they’re always 2k power below everyone else from being easy to move up with in arena, but are terrible on defense and especially against tanky teams like mine.
Poe taunts, then 88 does AOE to do large damage to a few characters from the expose, then Geonosian does his assist attack. Once this string of attacks is done, it’s smooth sailing. My QGJ hits Poes taunt removing the debuff and granting all allies offense up, Lumi heals everyone, Windu wipes out a player with smite, old Ben debuffs the enemy team and removes TM, then Sid cleans up with AOE leaving everyone dead or dying.

These droid teams are funny, because they’re firecrackers. Big and loud at the start of the game but very quickly fizzle out and die.

Only thing I like about HK is the resurrection, but I leave his weak character for last so he doesn’t revive.

    • I don’t use Poe, but the same could be said for the tanky jedi squads. Heals don’t mean much when 88 and GS are one-shotting characters. Ben can be annoying, but by then it’s practically over anyway. And he has zero threat after that one debuff.

Moral of the story, attackers have a huge advantage. But comparing the two, doesn’t the fact that droid teams consistently have high rankings for their power tell you all you need to know? Besides, they’re fun.

    • Well, sb doesnt like droids haha, i use them as ny arena team and I barely drop, usualy for 50 places only. + you cant just give him 1* and not even use him. Its not fair. He does the job for me, in gw, arena and cantina. Amazing health and with Poggle. Unbreakable eith Jawa Engineer

  5. a bit overrated, but useful in a droid team with ig88 and ig86, without them he is useless

    4
  6. Love his leader ability, but the rest is a bit iffy. Never thought of HK as a support everyone else type of personality. And Reconstruction high HP is cool but kind of useless here when he has zero threat to the other team.

I think his HP needs to be dropped to around the other droids levels, but with slightly higher armor. Then buff his attack and maybe reconstruction ability a bit. Tank through refusing to die rather than HP.

  7. Watch Hk-47 in my droid team maxed out!

    • Nice!! I’ve been curious about staring up my droids and the video helped confirm it for me. Question: you were talking about throwing QGJ in your team, how do you feel about Lando in the team instead? I know QGJ generates the additional attacks and kills taunts, but Lando has got the high crits and legit AOE attack.

  8. A tank toon that hits nice and like ig86 does not need other droids to be a hefty warrior. With leadership and especially with someone adding critical chance can instantly gain a “free” go using meatbag special

  9. HK-47 is my fave at the moment. Assassin Protocol rocks! As a droid leader he is touchingly supportive and and helps overcoming the main problem with the current crop of droids, that is their lack of speed.

HK-47 with IG-86 and IG-88 plus two meatbags handed me victory in GW on my very first try.

Also, I read up on his background story, over at wookipedia. He is like the Deadpool of droid history. Truly, HK-47 is a friend for the ages…

    • You guys should play KOTOR on your downtime. His dialogues are awesome.

      5
      • Thanks. I’m gonna install it. Bought it once for iOS, but then it went quickly to the cloud for oolong time…!

I also have a few questions. Strictly noobish speaking here.

Do the benefits of Assassin Protocol extend to HK-47 himself?
If not, does this apply to all leadership abilities?
Wouldn’t it at least make sense in this case? Or is it rather simple master-slave networking?

        0
        • After some obeservation I can answer that:

Yes, HK-47’s leadership ability does apply to himself. But he is still rather steady in his velocity to fill his turn meter. Meaning, he’s with the slowest 30% of all toons, I’d say.

  10. Query: will they add General grievous to the game if we pump enough money in?

Statement: if that is the case I can see many meatbag teams becoming obsolete as my assassin protocols will initiate with my droid companions to destroy them

Mocking statement: oh master I do love it when droid teams are strong

    5
    • By St.Han’s taunt! You called it!

On the 23rd of February’16, actually, they will add General Grievous as a shard shop exclusive.

    • This team is incredible with the high crit damage this team is insane I just got Poe witch completes my squad I have taken Sammy’s team and copied it they are so good

  11. I 7* HK-47 because he’s HK-47 and that’s awesome, but other than simply being HK-47 he’s really underwhelming. I have all of his abilities maxed out and other than the self rez they very rarely proc at all even when the enemy has jedi. Also, the AOE does very little dmg and as stated before rarely procs (which is really the only reason to use it).

Makes me sad that I invested so much into him, but I’ll be replacing him with a more solid DPS that synergizes better right after I get someone to replace Luke (who’s is super squishy).

  12. Hey everyone. I know its been stated but I am having a hard time figuring out who my 5th spot of my droid team should be. Obv Poggle, Ig-88, Ig-86, HK-47. My problem is should i go genoshian soldier, sidius, luminar, or boba fett? Thank you for your input. It is greatly appreciated.

    • Personally, I would go with Daka to counter the low health of the glass cannons

      5
    • I like Geonosian for my attack squad. Does decent dmg with an assist on special that provides a bonus to both if he calls Poggle. Good speed and helps focus down an enemies glass cannons. He has better HP than 86 and 88 and can last a while.

For defense I use Poe. He is 3rd fastest toon in game so he has a good chance to go first and use his taunt that lasts 2 turns, removes 25% of enemy turn meter, and has a 65% chance to expose all enemies for two turns. He can’t take a lot of hits, but shld allow the rest of the squad to go first. Poggle goes next and buffs up, then 88, 86, and HK lay down the firepower in that order.

      • As stated, Daka and Poe are certainly very logical choices. Both bring secondary benefits while covering the fragile frames of your from the inevitable 1-2 round deaths. Tho, you build droid team for one reason only; it WILL assassinate any toon that is even moderatly squishy in one turn (barring evades). Dead toons cant kill your IGs.
As much as im totally sick of seeing him in 90% of teams, sidious is a nice pairing too. His speed, matched with his AOE proc-rate usually giving 88 30-45% more attack on the first turn, means more dead toons.

    • If 100 magnaguard, great tank with many stun and anti-jedi capabilities.

      5
    • Geonosian soldier, he has high health and highest damage I’ve seen so far plus his ability is good too.

      4
  13. He’s versatile in many ways. Has a chance for all sorts of debuffs with double chance against Jedi. Decent damage that critcs at 3.5k for 6* max gear and level.

    5
  14. He’s next on my list too… I see some amazing Synergies.

  15. He’s my only 5 star, always the last to die at 2557
    Next weapon upgrade goes purple

    5
  16. Also my only four star so I’m kind of biased but I really like him, at lvl 4 meatbag mayhem also gives 25% chance for offence down and speed down, 3 debuffs in an aoe is crazy :).

    5
  17. HK-47 is currently my only 4-star hero, and at this level, he’s pretty awesome. His AOE ability does big damage and can apply ability block, which is useful. Aside from that, his “fun factor” isn’t as high as some other characters, as his standard attacks and leader ability can be useful but kind of boring. However, he does have chance of self-resurrect when defeated, so all these things put together equals a very useful, hard-to-kill character.
