  1. Obi-Juan Guacamoli

Automatic 50% crit chance on a basic? DAYUM!

    5
  2. A1 addition to Dark Side missions squad. Worth maxing out just for those, I focus on his 1st ability since I use no other droids. Basic attack hits very hard. Perfect B squad assists for GW and Rancors. Always second target after 88 against droid squads, he is that much of a beating. Can take fools out in one hit like Rey. 5 stars from me.

    5
  3. One of the best in the collection with a +crit lead. Fully starred these guys hurt a lot. Mix with qui gon, GS, healer, and phasma, with a Sid lead and you get so many extra attacks the opposition needs a squad of tanks to absorb the damage your team is putting out. Sub in fives, RG, or sthan if you need some meat shield. Easy to farm, easy to star, not for droid only teams. Just wish he had a bit more health and speed. But no one toon is perfect…thankfully

    5
  4. broken character.
His special says +75% crit damage for both when assisted by droid.

It does no such thing. It adds nothing.

    0
  5. His special crit is pretty insane. luminari is usually up next to attack on my squad and can finish off almost any opponent with her special after I use ig-89s special

    5
    • You should also think about having hk-47 as a leader as it provides + 30 crit +50 turn meter. Pretty crazy!

      0
  6. I’m going to start grinding him for the new Droid Event, you only need 3 droids so 86, 88 and 100

    0
  7. The bonus crit chance on his basic is a big plus. With the 50% crit boost from my boba lead, he does stupid amounts of damage. My only complaint is his lackluster speed. He often gets killed off before getting to attack, but with GS on the team as well I still am able to knock out at least one opponent first round, assuring me the match.

He is also the easiest character to farm in the game, with farming options on almost every table.

    5
  8. Competes for same PvP team spot with GS and QGJ who – while on par at couple of departments – both shade him in numerous others.

Unless you need to complete an all-droid team, go for either GS or QGJ.

    4
  9. he is one of the best high damage attacker and yet so easy to farm. lol
only took me 3 weeks to get him a 7 stars.
also he will be the first guy to kill when i battle against him.
if u dont u sure gonna lose someone.
over all, he is very fast, hits really hard(he is a devil with 88 and buff), soso HP.
dont have him? get him now.

    5
  10. i like this droid. with Sid as leader and poggle buff, he hits around 9k damage with his base attack ( 3.5 base * 1.85 crit damage * 1.5 buff ).
allows to easily kill teams 2-3k stronger (excluding pure offensive droids team – but if my Poe wins, then no problems too )

    5
  11. Savage bit of kit! Finding mk3 stun cuffs some what testing though! (50 needed 10per sim card attempt) lovely when Leia in team, critical damage almost constant add lumi to heal and this is one dope toon

  12. To utilise IG 86 properly you need a taunter. Like any glass cannon, POE or a geared Chewie will give him the time to lay down the dps. The above poster is right as well – he isn’t just for droid squads as a high dmg squad will gain the benefit of his assist function.

    5
  13. Does his special damage count towards any of his attacks? Don’t see why he would have special damage additions. any thoughts?

    0
  14. Great character. Even without other droids in party.
Is his passive ability working for himself too? I mean it says for each living ally droid. Does it count for him as well, so he is like perma +crit %?

    5
    • Any1 knows this?

Very interesting to know if all the abilities of the type “for each XXX ally you gain XXX” counts the character itself for the bonus: IG-86, Datcha, Jawa, Ewok Scout, Geonosian Soldier, etc…

      0
    • @Cpt Obi

You are misinterpreting ig-86’s unique ability.

Ig-86’s ability only affects himself, and grows stronger with each living droid ally.

Take some english classes. you most definitely need them

      0
      • @ddddd

You are missing the point of the question and assuming ally means ally to ig86.

Cpt obi is asking if ig86 counts as a living Droid ally and if so would ig86 get the bonus for itself as being a living Droid ally of the team.

        5
        • wow… seriously? you’re asking if ig86 counts as an living droid ally?ally to himself?
….*facepalm* you need english lessons too.

          0
          • Maybe you could try not being a dick.

            0
          • my goodness… it is you who is the dummy….

            0
          • Right… Even if they both needed English lessons, you need lessons on not being a complete fucking ignorant 10 year old. That was a simple, and if I do say so myself, good question which I have been pondering about myself. Even if it was a stupid question with bad grammar, you would correct them and answer the stupid question, not make yourself a complete arse. So please, child, learn some respect and proper etiquette

            0
          • Trade you – they get English lessons if you get game mechanics and general civility ones. Anyone that has played and EA game in the last 20 years knows that what is claimed on the in game data and how the engine is actually written can be two very different things – it’s a fair question of an EA game and one that does effect the characters usefulness

            0
      • Don’t be a moron, it’s a good question and you’re the one who misinterpreted it at first. Just because the text reads “ally” doesn’t mean the game won’t count him as one. Look as Phasma who’s ability is doubled if the “ally” is first order. It sure seems to apply to her with the observed proc rate.

        0
        • Droid Squad Tactics – IG-86 gains 4.5% Critical Chance for each living Droid ally. In addition, he has +15% Critical Damage.

Fire at Will – Whenever an ally attacks, they have a 18% chance to call a random ally to Assist, dealing 15% less damage. This chance is doubled if the attacking ally is First Order.

The wording is very confusing (and in game descriptions have known to be worded wrong) but yourself does not count as an ally. From Dictionary.com: ally (n) = a person who associates or cooperates with another; supporter.

Captain Phasma’s Fire At Will procs more frequently because she is First Order, getting double the proc chance.

          0
    • Do to the ability being a additional percentage (aka +4.5%) and not a multiplier* and the ability is unique to his own and not a leader ability, it does not matter if it increases his critical chance because it can be considered static whenever he is attacking.

  15. I don’t have a droid team, and it shows how much 86 depends on that synergy to be complete. He’s still pretty good, but can get KO’d before turn 1. And somehow only Chewbacca ever assists him in my GW’s. C’mon, man!

    4
    • I’ve got him in my GW team with GS, and they love assisting each other. I don’t generally have Chewie, though.

      5
  16. His dmg and speed are great. I can’t help but wonder if Biggs is competition or a waste of resources?

    0
    • Obi-Juan Guacamoli

There are three major assist-special attackers:
      1. Biggs Darklighter (most health, critical-chance focused, slowest, evasion-buff ability)

      2. Geonosian Soldier (medium health, offense-up focused, fastest, turn meter on crit ability)

      3. IG-86 (lowest health, crit chance and crit damage focused, medium speed, crit chance and crit damage to self ability)

      5
      • Obi-Juan Guacamoli

        I forgot one:
        4. Qui-Gon Jinn (medium health, speed-focused, enemy buff dispel, high speed, Jedi speed buff ability)

Phasma’s and Ackbar’s assists are only available via leader abilities.

        5
        • Obi-Juan Guacamoli

          Ugh. Even more.

          5. Tusken Raider (massive health pool, tusken synergy, good speed, enemy turn meter reduction, offense buff ability)

          6. CT-5555 “Fives” (GIGANTIC health pool, lowest damage, clone synergy, low speed, counterattack ability, enemy speed reduction)

          7. Chief Chirpa (lowest health, good damage, ewok synergy, lowest speed, team heal, team speed buff, damage buff and turn meter gain on basics)

          5
  17. Don’t just think of him in an all droid + Poggle party. His assist ability synergises well with high damage party – so whoever assists will do a heap of dps.

    5
  18. Positives:
    – Extremely high single target damage with other droids (still very high even without other droids)
    – Health isn’t the worst once geared well for an attacker

    Negatives:
    – Potential Droid allies are specifically anti-jedi (except IG-88), which makes them less viable as a general composition
    – Needs a tank or healer to stay alive through the first rotation

    Overall:
Great in droid compositions, but still viable enough to be considered for general compositions. Few chars. can provide the same single target damage. Pair him with IG-88 and Poggle the Lesser for the start to a pretty scary squad. Rating 4.1/5 Stars

    4
  19. In a mostly droid team this character can dish out crazy amounts of damage and has one of the best basic attacks in the game. By himself though he would probably be closer to 2-3 stars because his moves have too much synergy with droids.
