  1. The hardest I’ve ever been skull fucked in this game is vs poggle with gs, aayla, dooku, and old bitch dakka in GW. That team didn’t even need a tank or a droid heavy synergy team because poggle does his second skill and then you watch as your team is systematically stun locked and annihilated with a quickness. GS was one shooting people and doing about 1000 more damage than they had life. I couldn’t help but laugh at how quickly I wiped after killing dakka, the counter attacks from hell and gs just bazookaing everything while poggle ability blocks. How the hell do you counter this?

  2. I run Sid(L), Poggle, GS, Old Ben and Rey as my offense team and they always wreck face! With Old Ben debuffing and Poggle offense up, with Sid’s crit rate+, Rey and GS do so much damage!

  3. Me thinks Poggle is surplus to requirements in Arena battles. Here’s why:
To neutralize Poe in Arena, you must have QGJ. His special Humbling Blow not only removes Poe’s taunt and deals him tons of damage, but it also procs party Offense Up same as Poggle’s ability. QGJ goes after Poe unless your Poe went first.
Remove Offense Up buff and Poggle is an average toon in a non-droid team.

    • Yeah but he rocks in my Lobot led droid team, the offense up plus speed buff that stacks on Lobot’s leadership ability makes droids scathingly fast.

      5
    • QGJ faster than Poe, so it can buff your team only round two ( and without guarantee ), while poggle do this on first turn with 100% change ( except ability blocks from another poggle).
and with offense up buff Poe can be neutralized easily – 13k health – one crit assistance attack from IG-86, for example, or base attack + somebody to finish.

  4. this guy is good with any team especially droids.
buff and offence up can be extrimily eficient.
also he is fast… for sure he can land first hit unless dooku does the trick(stun).
a team with him, 88, 86,TIE pilot,Poe can be deadly.

  5. Amazing hero! I use him in every one of my teams. He’s definetely the most overlooked hero in the game. People think he’s not good because of his droid bonuses, but those hardly matter. His special makes the team 50% better for three turns, and only has a 4 turn cool down. That means that roughly 3/4 of your turns have 150% damage! Using him can bring any characters down in half the time.

    5
    • Agree! I didn’t want to use him a couple weeks ago but after getting him 5 stars he got pretty interesting; activating his offense capacity makes every team member rip through the enemy team ranks very quickly. I think he is overlooked for 2 main reasons: 1- he only has a “special”, whereas most others have 2, 3 or even more so people equate “more specials = more power”, which is not true… AND 2- Poggle is not viewed as a “cool” character, meaning he has no important role in the movies, I never saw a Poggle toy (though maybe they got one in Japan), he’s ugly and well…he’s a damn insect right? But who cares, he won’t leave my team any time soon (<;

  6. How hard to get him to gear VII? I’m thinking about farming him to include into my Arena attacking team next to Leia, Dooku, Sid and Lumi. But hesitant to be stuck like with Captain Phasma or Old Daka whose gear VII are insane

    5
    • You need 20 of the purple holo projectors, 20 of the purple satellites, 20 of the purple stun guns, 20 of the purple IV keyboards, and the rest are cake. It’s pretty steep :|. I’m not sure if I want to pursue him or keep prepping for level 64 gear which is also a steep investment for STHan, Kylo, and Phasma.

      • Thanks a lot! Looks doable. My biggest grief is with 50 syringes that all of my PvP team requires at gear VIII. Sid needs 100 of those and I only just got to 7E normal and 7C hard Light Side, where I can get them. Needless to say that the drop rate is miserable and syringes are not available thru Events and Challenges, which makes me want to erase the game )))

  7. Pros:
*Health is relatively high so he’s never first target from AI
*speed is high at 140+ so his special can get in before most attackers on your team
*thanks to him I’ve not lost the last week in Arena (no exageration), as in an attacking team I can beat teams 3k+ points with 4 characters remaining
*ability block at 60% is very handy if Lumi fails

    Cons:
*Though Poggle can take most team set ups, nightsister team (specifically Ventress’ special) can make him redundent immediately, dhaka-ventress are a troubling combo.
*his special isnt actually an attack, when sometimes an attack is ideal.
*ability blocks make him redundent for the first turn or second

    0
    • In that case, burst damage down Ventress before she gets a turn. Even if she’s the leader she’s still slower than buffed droids and most other toons.

  8. I have a question. Why is poggles special damage so high if nothing scales off of it? It says his basic attack scales off physical damage. And his other move is a team buff. So neither use that high special damage??

    5
    • I do believe its taken from the offence up giving other people agility rather than reducing an enemies health.
      Not confident though

      0
    • Can’t imagine there’s any reason for that in the same way other characters that have no special attack have special damage high also. Dev’s just playing a trick on those that aren’t in the know.

      0
    • That stat comes primarily from the gear. He just has a lot of the gear that boosts special dmg. I could be wrong on this (perhaps it does actually boost buff effectiveness to a degree), but i am operating currently on the belief that it is utterly pointless. He is certainly not the only one (ahsoka comes to mind as well).

  9. I am aiming for a droid team. So obv Poggle the Lesser, Ig-88, IG-86, HK-47, and Genosian soldier. My question is who would be the best leader for this kind of team? Would poggle be the best cause of the offense or HK-47? Thanks so much for the help.

    0
    • Personally, i dont find HK’s leadership viable for your stated team. Two toons would be completly un-buffed. I would not over-look 88. Even at 20% you are criting most of the time, and virtually always with 86.
However, Poggle would certainly seem the better of two options. 25% attack will also, i assume, be affected before the crit-dmg multiplier. Thus still utilizing the high crit-rate of your heavy hitters.
UNLESS, for some reason, the “attack up” buff would not stack with the leadership attack bonus. Unlikely, but given the illogical nature of some game-mechanics in such games, and/or the abundance of bugs; one can never be certain until tested.

      0
    • I disagree, hk should lead, all about speed with that combo, the thirty percent turn meter gain is huge on how often the droids will be speed up by poggle, and the genoshian buffs himself and poggle so synergy of speed much better

      0
      • Perhaps so. However, the speed buff from poggle actually diminishes the return on the meter gains from HK’s leadership. the faster they are, the less time it actually takes them to naturally gain that meter. So i think in that regard, you would be seeing it backwards.

        0
        • Negative, the turn meter gain is huge especially on aoe attacks, when ig-88 sprays and has several criticals he gets to take another turn instantly same with hk-47’s grenade, speed speed speed, if the droids hit criticals on assistance attacks from genoshian or ig86, more turn meter advances, that only are helped by poggle, i find hk overrated but his leadership in this genoshian droid team is critical

          0
          • My point was simply that gaining % of meter is less powerful for faster toons than for slower ones, not that it is ever a bad thing. However, having begun experimenting with HK as leader; i do think it may well be the best option. Though, any fight where an ally can used, i am still inclined to use IG-88.

            0
          • You want HK-47 as leader. Trust him :)

            5
    • You need Poe to keep 88 alive. I would recommend either HK/86/88/Poggle/Poe or Poggle/88/86/G.Soldier/Poe. I know he takes forever to invest in, but you reallyreally need Poe if going droid.

      0
      • Or you go simply for the amazing Royal guard WHO IS awesome After the Alteration And much easier to get if you ask me. And he takes quite a beating before he dies.

        0
        • I’d go with Poggle leader and swap HK for Poe Dameron. Poggle is guarenteed extra damage and Poe will keep your glass cannons alive for an extra turn and with Poggle’s special it’s amazing damage

          0
      • Or Lobot, with Poggle, they make Poe redundant, at least so far.

  10. Positives:
-Three full turns of everyone on your team having Offense Up!!!!!!!!!!
-Fairly high health, and good evade if there’s a droid or two in the composition
-Ability Block from his basic attack lands often due to his high INT
-The damage on his basic attack for a support character is quite descent
-Easy to level through the Galactic War scenario shipments

    Negatives:
-Wish there was more than 2 truly viable droid characters, or any other viable Geonosian characters to pair with him

    Overall:
Extremely powerful support char. You can run him with any composition as the extras he gives for droid is just an added bonus, not the meat of his usefulness. Top tier support for sure. Rating 4.9/5 Stars

    5
    • Only two viable droids?

      5
      • hk’s only good for his leader ability. his damage is low and his meatbag mayhem rarely lands any debuffs (and the ones that do land are very random).
        ig-100 is worthless.
general grievous could be good, but his cowardly taunt is more of a liability than a benefit. and of course nobody short of massive pay to winners will ever get him.
