  1. Probably the strongest in the game, but all agree he is top 5, and that if you don’t get him among your very first priorities, you are dumb. I ranked 2nd in arena today, and he is in 4 of the top 5, the other is a droid team. Let me put it in terms everyone should understand.. He Is Better Than YODA! Yo, duh.

    5
  2. Hei check out this

    I have a good news!

You can beat someone who higher levels from you at arena squads.

    Here the mighty character

    1)ct-5555 (leader)
2)Poe dameron ( taunt to save toons health)
3)qui gon jinn (to debut DEATH on enemy character)
    4)luminara unduli ( extremely heal)
5)lando Christian (or any aoe character)

    Try it!

    4
  3. your stats need updated
    Quick Strike – Level 8
65% chance to remove 30% turn meter

    4
  4. Haven’t lost an arena battle since putting Qui-Gin on my team 3 days ago. Pretty fast, harmonious assault is huge with the extra damage and he’s pretty efficient with taking taunts away.

    5
  5. My favorite toon, well balanced, powerful, but vulnerable. Often target him or GS first on opposing team. Next comes Sid cause of his heal immunity. Well worth starring up, helpful all along the way

    5
  6. Best Toon in the game. Ive got him 7*, gear lvl 9 and max weapons. His speed bonus lets other Jedi rock in Arena.

    5
    • Then where are the MK 9 Neuro-Saav Electrobinoculars Salvages? You need those to get him to gear level 9, and I’d really love to get him up a gear level.

      0
  7. Ha! Well looks like now it only goes to Level 7! I think the game is more complex and interesting and there will be a lot more strategies now and there won’t be a main ‘Squad Leader’ anymore in the ranks!

    0
  8. Okay so his L8 Leader ability, does that mean only at the beginning of the match or they get it at the beginning of every turn?

    5
  9. People are upset about the change to his lvl 8 leader ability, but I’m just sitting here thinking about having a +25 speed Old Ben on my team with potency on the first turn. Ha. Aha. Haha. Hahaha. Ahaaaahahahaha!

    5
    • Same! I just got QGJ to 6 star and Old Ben to 6 Star and I can’t wait to get his leader ability L8. It’ll be amazing! I’m also building an all first order team on the dark side and I can’t wait to find out if the FO team will be better than the QGJ and Jedi team

      0
  10. They have changed his leader ability R8 to not make it so uber.
Qui-Gon Jinn’s rank 8 leader ability has been changed to “Jedi allies have +25 Speed and gain Potency Up for 1 turn at the beginning of each encounter.”

    0
    • Yup. Saw that. Good decision in my opinion. I just got him 7* and he is plenty awesome without boosting Doku and Leia’s speeds into the 180’s. I’m glad they fixed it now before anybody actually had that ability in use. Even if something is clearly unbalanced people get bent out of shape if you take it away. He is my current favorite right now. Awesome leader for Arena.

      5
    • Thank God. I’m glad that they changed it before every person with this game got a QGJ lead and ruined the game’s diversity.

      0
    • Yeah I am very happy that he won’t be spammed all over the vs arena, it also helps for people that only use jedis in arena

      0
  11. Love to see them do pure squads in arena, the so called meta or copy cat squads are rather boring to play against, it’s always the same squads with 8 to 12 certain characters, yeah I love quigon, but because he fits well with my jedi squad, and I love multi attacking characters

    4
  12. Agility training level 8 is crap. It will completely change the meta and everyone will use only one leader. The predicted line ups will be Qui-Gon L, Sid, gs, luminara, and dooku.

The first turn will be Sid either heal blocking someone or dealing aoe. Next dooku will stun the healer. Then gs will take out qui-gon. Next move will be qui-gon taking out the opponents gs blah blah blah etc.

Doing this throws squad synergy under the bus. It would make a unilateral arena leader board of qui-gon leaders. This needs to be rethought before they completely ruin any semblance of balanced gameplay. Everyone will run the same team gs, Sid, qgj, luminara, add one additional character (most likely dooku for the heal stun and counterattacking). The people who want to run a crazy fast team will throw in leia ( already op) and give crit chance up to the attacking player making already high crit characters destroy everyone.

EA think before you ruin this game please….

    0
    • Also huge qgj fan with the current build FYI. Just my don’t ruin the game rant haha qgj is easily a top tear guy that is a must have on all teams already!

Easily 5 star character without a second thought

      5
    • I agree. Dooku, GS, and a few other non-Jedi have plenty of speed without getting that bonus. Not looking forward to it. I am going hard after farming QGJ now so I don’t get left out in the cold when he becomes the most valuable leader in the game. I wouldn’t mind a leader ability that speed boosts anybody, but just not so much, and not on a player with so many other great abilities already.

Maybe they will come to their senses and nerf him, which wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all even though I’ll have him 7* in 2 weeks. Alternatively, they could add a player, or add/boost an ability to an existing toon to massively slow other teams. We’ll see.

      0
    • What was his lvl8 ability before the change to potency up for first turn?

      0
  13. Is Humbling Blow bugged? He dispels with about 90% but maybe only every 3rd time my party gets Offence Up?

    5
  14. Qui Gon is a must in the leader slot on an all-Jedi team and adds value to any squad with Harmonious Assault. I have a 5* QGJ leading Lumi, Kit, Ima, and JC. I can easily knock out one, maybe two enemies in a squad before they have much chance to respond in PVP (yes, even you, slippery Sid). If they launch a taunt he has a good chance to remove it, and it is always great to see the Offense Up when it hits as well.

Quick, powerful Special damage & skills, and helps bring much needed speed to a squad. Best card available in Cantina battles.

    5
  15. How do we know agility training Lvl 8? Lvl 7 can’t be upgraded until char lvl 72 and the current limit is 70? So nobody could have upgraded to 7 yet and seen 8. Unless there’s some other method.

Great toon either way. I put him as leader with Lumi and he calls her more often for assistant, than others. Sometimes she can hit twice before the other teams goes, taking out at least one and leaving her next turn to a heal to counter AoE’s. Easy 5, has better health as you gear and star him.

    5
  16. An absolute must on a full Jedi team leader, this guy is amazing, especially in the current speed meta. Harmonious Assault is perfect at the start of a match, and the turn meter in his basic is nice. Clearing a buff is very helpful in tricky situations. Use him.

    5
  17. Vader is awesome with curling blade especially. Too bad the only way to get his shards is by achievements and occasional shard shop offers :/

    5
  18. Same issue as BYM. His special ability doesn’t work for me.

    1
  19. QGJ is no doubt amazing after lv60 because of offence up…. But you might want CT555 and GS first. If you’re a new player. GS is a little Canon and while hes no tank hes not made of glass and is easy to acquire while you choose someone from the shipments.

Poe is slow until you start to get purple gear and hes not very tanky yet. he is easily killed by GS and QGJ or CT555

CT555 gears easily, counters AOE, slows targets he shoots and hes fast like QGJ and GS, but hes a tank and great for GW.

    I’m grinding like this:

CT555 5*, Poe, QGJ 7* and back to Poe 7*

I hope i don’t need daka and i probably won’t go 7* with CT555 based on the rankings i didn’t expect him to be so good. he’s carrying the team right now @lv45.

    5
  20. Once I get agility training to lev 8, thoughts on using him as lead for an “all-assist” team with Geo Soldier, Biggs, IG-86, and either 5’s or Tusken Raider? Would that team be viable?

    0
  21. A must for anyone building Jedi teams. Just, keep him away from Darth Maul… Cuz he killed him in that movie we don’t talk about… Stupid jerk…

    5
  22. Freakin beast. Offense up while removing buffs, humbling blow is sweet. But let’s be real; the big winner imo is Harmonious Blow. Pack him in a high offense squad whom also have added extra attacks or assist calls in their basic attack… Yea amazing and a really low cool down. Love him. He’s my Jedi leader and I use him in all squads I can.

    5
  23. He is a character that everyone should have on their Arena and GW, regardless of builds.

    5
  24. only reason he ranked high is because he totally killed Poe.
as all u know Poe is a pain in the SSA in PV and GW. I had to battle 3 teams with Poe in GW…
with QGJ life is alot easier right?
other then that… he is just a good attacker nothing so great. Dooku might do a better job as an pure attacker.
so as long as Poe stay strong QGJ will be rated high.

    4
    • So he’s only rated so high because of humbling blow ONLY if he’s fighting a team with Poe? If there is no Poe on the other team then he’s good but not great?

      0
      • Fuck no, he is great! Is not like Poe Dameron is gonna be the only guy with buffs you are gonna run into. Great character all around if you know how to get the best out of him.

        0
    • As previously stated by unclerico, he’s only good because of Harmonious Blow and only against Poe? What about against Luminara who gets an Evasion Up? What about Assajj Ventress who gains a bonus on ally deaths? Phasma who gives Advantage? Darth Maul who gets a boost every time he is attacked? Chewbaccas who also taunts? Other QGJ if they gain a boost off your team? All of these that I listed litter the PVP arena. Harmonious Assault has so many different places to activate the team’s offense up. By why is it just Harmonious Blow? Harmonious Assault is refreshed EVERY OTHER TURN. And the cool thing with this ally assist, is EVERY assisting ally does a bonus 75% damage. (And when we get Lvl 80, Harmonious Blow only gets better by adding a 20% Max Health recovery to the assisting ally. But this isn’t apart of the counter argument because he doesn’t have this yet.) His basic attack is also pretty cool by granting QGJ with a chance a gaining turn meter allowing for a cooldown on Harmonious Blow or Harmonious Assuault to cooldown faster. So yeah, I guess QGJ is only good against Poe’s.

      0
      • Also when using qui gon against phasma, once she gives her team advantage, target the character with the lowest tenacity to have the best chance of harmonious blow being effective

        0
  25. Is QGJ only ranked high because of his leader ability? Say if I use QGJ but I use Phasma as leader, is QGJ still rated at 95? Or is it only if he is leader? Cuz if he’s not leader I just don’t see him being rated so high in pvp.

    0
  26. If qgj isn’t the party leader, does he take the speed bonus from leader ability?

    0
  27. I think he should get a passive ability of some % counter attack or one upgrade of the leader ability should grant allies like 5% chance to counter attack

    3
  28. Harmonious assault cool down increased since the latest update?

    0
  29. Guys I want to know, when an ability says grant all allies, does it include the player themselves? Like for qgj does his speed ability apply to him as well as the allies?

    5
  30. Get im Now!, just saw the update news, leader speed is available on the 1st turn from now on in the arena, Also Yoda is Here!!

    0
  31. Holy fuck, Qui-Gon is going to be very OP when we are able to reach level 80, look at agility training!

LvL 8: Effect applies to all allies

He is already used in teams while not being leader, i believe this will make him one, if the the best character in the game.

    5
  32. Does his Leader ability apply from the first turn? That is will my Luminara get a speed of 118+23=141 from the start and he himself 137+23=160?
I think I saw somewhere that speed boost doesn’t apply on first turn.
I have him on 6* and wonder if I should farm him or finish Poe and Old Daka first?
What are requirements for VIII and IX gear? No 20+ pieces of purple gear for VII hopefully…

    0
  33. Qui-Gon just got available in cantina shipments, no more slow jedi. Even Ashoka Tano and Mace speed looks good now. Im guessing a total meta change. Eeth Koth bot killer speed is 151 with Qui Gon as a leader. The end of droid snipping era?

    0
    • BTW, anything below 141 speed gets ability block from Luminara Unduli

      0
    • The only other Jedi you need to worry about being fast is Ben. And with quigonn, poe, Ben and a couple good dps, you get no turns at all

      5
      • Yeah, but still is down to who as the fastest Poe i guess, old ben cant block a opposing Poe on the 1st turn even with Qui-Gon as a leader, my money goes to Eeth Koth, is ability to stun the likes of Poe, Ben, and in case of a bot team stunning poogle will definitely turn some games around, we going to see a lot more of him that’s for sure..

        5
        • Of course poe is the deciding factor in all matches right now. As to eeth koth being good? Depends on the meta. Right now, he’s not. At least not in my meta. Old Ben not only kills turns but he makes the opponents team terrible for at least 1-2 turns. Most games in the top 5 on my arena depend on who’s poe and ben go first.

          5
          • I guess you’re right, Eeth potency is to low and is ability to stun only has 75% at best, even though is speed is great. If he was more like a fast Cad Bane might be a good counter to Ben. Still, im trying a high tenacity team, lead by Luke, with Poe and Ackbar just in case, lets see how that goes…

            0
    • Cantina shipments is the worst and slowest farm method despite of not being able to farm a hero at all… every 2 days u get 5 shard….. wooooow complete meta changer!!! u just need ~4 months and u have him close to 7*. <___<

      0
      • It’s not so bad actually. Can pull 400 or so orbs a day with one cantina energy recharge. Combine with the shard grinding for whichever toon you are also farming for, and the chance for a purple ability mat drop, and you have yourself a very efficient use of crystals. At least for the first recharge. In my opinion, its the best way to unlock toons aside from dropping serious dough.
I am very excited to max out master Jinn!

        5
        • Which battle do you do for that efficiency?

          0
          • Kylo, Mace, NSAcolyte and GS battles all have this potential. If you get even one purple ability mat in 20 battles you’re lucky! But the whole time you’re grinding battle points you’re also getting shards. And the whole time you’re grinding shards you’re having a chance to get ability mats. Better than data cards in every way!

            0
      • I mean yeah, if you’re doing it wrong and not buying any energy refreshes.

        0
        • I always buy 1 refresh. But more is not possible and even with that 1 refresh it is by far the slowest farm option there is. Putting him into one of the cantina battles would have been far better. This is what pisses me off anyways: Why the fuck did they put Luke, JC and some others into more then 1 cantina battle?! I mean they were farmable there already… Couldn’t u just make another toon farmable there?! Noooo that would mean less income because more toons are decently farmable I guess…..

          0
          • It does not show any purple mats as possible drops For GS, or NSacolyte I have only unlocked up to holotable 3-b though so maybe later on?

            5
      • Well that’s true… if you dont invest in the cantina, you get 204 cantina credits for every refil you buy at lvl 3, you get 5 cantina energy p/hour and a extra every time you lvl up, Got Qui-Gon Already in a couple of days..

        5
  34. Super char on the begining of game. It was the best DPS in the team. On the 50+ level it is still dps but the focus is on the ally assist ability.
It is too delicate now. His health (with 7th gear and still 2*) is too week in compare to the rest of team. It can be useless on 60+ if single attact will kill him (like now tie pilot). If his shards will not be farmable, it has to be replaced I afraid.
I am using it with Ima-Gun Di. Ima as leader of course. Qui’s leader ability looks fine on first look, but is not as good as it can be imaged.

    4
  35. I give one star for the simple fact it’s so hard to acquire him. Same issue with many of the toons they are to difficult to get then star up.

    1
  36. Reeeeally good. Starting at 2*’s makes me sad because its hard to get him to 7*. However, once you do, he will win you so many games.

    Pros:
    High speed
    High dps
    Ability to remove taunt
    Good synergy with everything ever
    Cons
    Mid hp with mid armor
    ?

    4.75 / 5 stars

    5
    • starting at 2* means you get to play with him sooner, it takes the exact same number of shards to lol a character to 7* regardless which star level they start at

      0
      • Okay lemme explain in small words. Chromium packs come in 2 forms. Shards and full blown hero’s. If you already have the hero, it converts it into HALF ad many shards as it takes to activate them. In this instance, qgj is 25. Half of that is 12 (they round down). Thus, it pains me that he is a 2* character because of the amount of packs needed. Now, he’s free at this point in cantina so my money was all but wasted on him. Regardless, he’s still the best Jedi in the game.

        5
  37. I think Qui-Gon Jinn is the ugliest hero in the game (the in-game model, not Neeson), including all the aliens in the game.

    0
  38. One of the best Jedais
him leader and Ben debuff cripple the enemy team and has godly synergy with Ima gundi, Barris, Luminara

    5
  39. He is a beast and hits very hard!

One question, if u use him as a leader, does that increase his speed too besides allies gain speed?

    5
  40. His ability to remove taunt is key. He stays on my team, even though I’m having a hard time ranking him up.

    5
    • I don’t have him or Plo Koon, but I believe that Plo Koon is better off removing taunts with his basic attack, provided that they don’t have another buff. Plo Koon is farmable as well, unlike Qui-Gon Jinn.

      0
      • Yeah but i’d still pick QGJ every day of the week – the dispel and assist abilitys on one character is just too hard to give up despite the low rank-up chance.

I just hope they implement a shard-farm for him and Leia in future content so i can get a full-star team ^^

        4
      • Plo sucks something awful. Qui-Gonn’s tag team attack is awesome and the cooldown is just as good Geonosian. Geo’s damage is stronger though and he’s easier to get (cantina fights vs the shipments). It would be well worth your time to tag team these two for mass damage.

I think Qui-Gonn’s leader speed boost gives him an edge over Geo, but only if you run a Jedi heavy team. If you only use Luminara or Consular, Geo’s definitely your best bet. If you’re using Ben, Anniken, Luminara, and another Jedi, that speed boost makes all the difference.

        0
  41. Qui-Gon is a beast. In pve his leader skill is awsome(when upgraded). But I use him in pvp, not as a main attacker(this is not his job), but as facilitator of damage. His greatest strength is that he provides extra attacks for the team. When you rank up his second skill you get an assist attack every 2 turns and Qui-Gon gets turns much faster than other characters due to his naturally high speed and his first skill that fills his turn meter. All in all his is a huge bump in team dps.

    5
  42. They SERIOUSLY need to buff Qui-Gon Jinn!! He is my favorite Jedi but he is really weak in this game. His stats are low compared to all other jedi. His 1st ability “Quick Strike” deals PHYSICAL damage when his physical stat is SUPER low. He is a special attacker. His 3rd ability “Humbling Blow” only removes all affects on 1 person when so many other characters have abilities that remove many affects. Overall low stats and weak abilities which is SAD because HE IS MY FAVORITE JEDI EVER!!! Please buff him!!

    1
    • your comment just shows how little you know about this game. He’s a high crit big dps character.

      0
    • :) :) :)

FUnny that u write all this on the char that have the highest PVP rating in the game on this site 😛

      0
    • Are you serious??? His first special allows an ally to hit with 75% more damage at level 3. Do you understand how nightmarish that is??? A fully upgraded resistance pilot can easily hit 10k+ with his normal attack with this ability. Do you understand how powerful that is??

      0
    • He is one of the best in the game. You do not know what you are talking about at all. Gear him and level him properly then try him out.

      0
    • Once Poe’s tenacity is nerfed in the next major update in the 2nd week in Feb. he is the Poe neutralizer. He will remove Poe’s Taunt. But, at the highest levels, hopefully your team still exists by the time he gets to debuff opponent.

Poe can’t be the first toon to go in the match. The opponent should have at least 1 shot to stun or at the very least knock him down a tad for the rest of the team to focus him down once he taunts. But I hate nerfing characters. I much prefer buff alt and counter balance characters to nerfing. But that is just me.

What they really need to do is put a decent PVP speed Characters in the Arena Shipments. After Sid there is no one. Eoth Koth is there, perhaps another Jedi would be nice. How about Jedi Luke…..and General Grevis…oh yea.

      0
      • I tried QGJ Special “Humbling Blow” on Poe twice, but it doesn’t work. Perhaps, Poe’s tenacity kicked in as you imply above or perhaps, the Special ability doesn’t work as intended. The way it’s written it should remove 100% of positive effects 100% of time, unless Tenacity is somehow involved.

So frustrating after investing tons of time and gear/materials to bring QGJ to playable lvl 79 6* gear VII, all abilities lvl 4, only to see it fail miserably. In fact, on that day I finished outside of too 20 while normally I finish 2nd and reliably in top 10 on my server.
