  1. Personally I like ackbar leader Han then chewie then daka then lumi. Han taunts and ackbars ability still gets an attack. Chewie taunts free steak limo heals free attack daka heals and brings back to life one again free attack. Also the turns that Han cornfields mean even more attacks. I might would substitute princess Leia for chewie as she is rebel and gets the free attacks during ally non attack. Plus Albert can also blow away debuffs like sidius anti heal

  2. Isn’t the fact that STH is both a scoundrel and a rebel also a good reason to go for him, so you can take part in events?

  3. After wising up to what a great set of abilities ST Han brings, I’ve been focusing on acquiring and roiding him for my arena squad. Switched out 5*/Gear 7 Chewbz for 4*/Gear 8 Han, and the squad has already managed its first Top 50 server finish.

Currently running with 6*/G8 QGJ (L), 7*/G7 Old Ben, 7*/G7 Luminara, and 5*/G8 D. Sidz. Part of me regrets spending those arena bucks on Sidious versus going all in toward Han, so I expect to plateau for a while until he gets replaced with another character. Still, even at 4*, the gear does a lot to improve Han’s durability. Teams that start first run a risk of knocking him out early, but if he survives long enough for the Mind Trick – Taunt combo, it is usually lights out for the other side. Even if he gets killed (hasn’t happened often yet), there’s a good chance you’ve already cleared 1-2 of the other side’s cannons.

By far the best character investment made up to this point. Can’t wait to max out his ratings and see what he’s really capable of, but even in the early stages he has provided a platform for the other toons to excel.

  4. Just wondering how useful is a turn meter reduction for an enemy that attacks han, since their turn meter is reset to 0 for their next action anyway. Does the reduction somehow drop their turn meter by increasing everyone else’s?

  6. ST Han is a strong hero right now, at least on my shard. I have been rank #1 all week, and I don’t fall past #16 at night.

I use Dooku Lead, ST Han, Luminara, GS, and QGJ. Giving Han a little more defense through Dooku’s leader ability is pretty clutch, and a greater chance that your other heroes will live by the time Han taunts. Take out the other teams high damage targets quickly, and victory is easy.

I thought about going with a more evasion based team, but I like the assist route better. If you wanted to go with a more evasion based team you could sub out QGJ and GS in favor of Sidious and Resistance Pilot.

I don’t think Sidious is strong right now, he has average damage and the heal immunity is not important in arena as of right now. If the meta slows down enough with the upcoming changes I think he will have a permanent spot.

  7. I use him with dooku(leader),lumi, sid, resistence pilot and now I end up with 1st-10 position in arena .He is the best tank in this game cause he give more and more turn, With his average speed is a good thing because It’s made he has much health when use his taunts cause ai will random hit. (if use with ackbar he with use taunt so early and die early in 1 round) After that resistance pilot can do his job(6000-10000 dmg), and lumi can health the team.

  8. I m builing a rebel team that includes old ben for obvs reasons and ackbar for the rebel team speed.

  9. Han really needs his 7* and part of gear 8 to face 70 teams. He is pretty much useless in arena versus the current meta/speed (QGJ, GS, Yoda, Rey) BUR vs phasma-led teams and other non-meta you encounter in GW he is really fun to play. I’ve tried a lolzmeter team of Ewoks+Han+HRS and it did its job :) Lots of attacks.

  10. Stuck with poe tasty bit of kit, taunt is a long ting, if you can hit some! Of course ya can, poe already got 20% damage on. Pain to fight an pain to run fast healer seals the deal!!

  11. There are only 2 toons worth farming in the Arena shipments. Sidious (who gives you an advantage in early game) and Stormtrooper Han (who gives you an advantage in late game)

Stormtrooper Han is slow to get started (in fact you can’t even use him as a 4* at first) but once you get him up in Stars, Gear and especially ability mats he becomes a major difference maker.

You should farm Stormtrooper Han for the following 3 reasons:

    1. In any conflict, whoever throws the most bullets, generally wins.
    2. Stormtrooper Han makes your toons shoot more and makes your opponent’s toons shoot less.
    3. Refer back to 1.

    • he is only tank, who draws fire without taunt ( no taunt – no turn meter gains, right?) and low health pool makes him vulnerable to first turn death from one-two shots.
don’t try to kill him with weak attacks, though)

      0
      • “( no taunt – no turn meter gains, right?)”

Incorrect: Bluff – Han has a 25% chance to remove 25% Turn Meter from each enemy at the start of each of his turns. In addition, Han has a 25% chance to remove 10% Turn Meter from each enemy when he is damaged.

A reduction in your enemies turn meter is effectively a gain in your turn meter.

Regarding health pool, also incorrect. It is not low. He has 100 less health than JC and 385 less than Lumi. He has more health than IG-86, Dooku, QGJ, Asajj, and more.

        • consular is low-priority target, lumi – too ( AI prefers to heal, instead of attack ), just concentrate fire on single target and use health immunity ( this provokes healers to spend turns ), and their base attack is nothing serious.

Han – have more priority ( below glass cannons, though ) with his low speed and health pool he can be killed before he can move. and this usually ruins his squad tactics

    • Im sorry, but i must strongly disagree with your initial statement. HK and 88, (along with poggle and 86, from GW) form what is arguably the fastest-to-make, truly viable team. They are not the best team in game, but they were good enough to have me as high as 14 in arena, and floating usually between 50-30. As such, to state that sid and han are the only toons worth farming seems to me to be…well…wrong.

  12. Thoughts on using him with a speed Jedi team led by QGJ? Thinking of farming him.

    0
    • I think if you have Obi-Wan that might work. Other-wise you may not have enough dps if your other jedi’s are QGJ, Luminara, Bariss, and JC. Replacing Bariss with Obi-Wan is the key here, will be kicking yourself if QGJ’s harmonious assault proc’s Bariss yikes. Han also doesn’t get QGJ’s leader speed.

  13. I’m going to have to up his overall avg stars because he’s definitely a 4star character (not 3 star). I think the main problem is people don’t gear him like they gear chewy and they don’t have him at many stars. He really shines when he gets enough hp to last a few hits at least, plus he has 33% tenacity, which helps mitigate the chance of getting heal blocked from sid since he has 0% potency.

Currently my 5* gear 8 stHan hits for anywhere from 1500-3300 (upper range with sid crit buff of 20%). He’s reliable enough to divert 1/2 to at least a full round of attacks in arena, which is enough to take down an opponent or rescue a dying ally. His ability to decrease every enemies turn meter by 25% every time he has an action is pretty dramatic at times.

I’m not exactly sure how powerful of a character you all want him to be because with his abilities, it’s not really fair if he survives longer than 1 round, and if he’s up for more than that, then you’re probably going to win the match because of how strong he manipulates meters. If he gets any decent buff, he’d get OP in my mind.

    5
    • Forgot to mention the designers are jerks for giving him a gear upgrade in level 8 that gives him int, special damage, and special critical rating. Wtf is han going to do with that besides increase his resistance since he’s an agi character and has no special attacks? 17 int won’t do jack to increase his special damage mitigation.

      5
      • Hey, we play on the same server. Your Sid is clutch for me, so thanks.

I’m going to agree with the stHan assessment. I’ve got him at 7*, gear lvl 8, and he is crucial to my current standing at #34 on my server.

Can anyone explain why Poe gets so much hype over this guy? I really see no advantage vs stHan.

        5
        • STHan is more for a team that take allot of attacks as opposed to slow big attacks, imo. His teammates need to be able to survive a round of cannons so he can get use from his taunt. Definitely needs a heal with him. He can also make a 4 vs 5 fight during his taunt. If he taunts for more than 1 turn you’ll probably win.

Poe is for a team of glass cannons BC he goes very quickly, a good bit bf Han, and exposes a few of enemys while lowering their turn meters so your cannons get to go bf them hopefully making a 4 vs 5 fight or just mortal wounding a few of the team so come back is unlikely.

      • Good thoughts. After maxing HK, 88, and Sid, i have been needing to figure my next arena focus. You sold me. (he is not the only one they shove completely irrelevant gear into. I can think of 3 others, and it is indeed frustrating.)

        0
  14. I agree his health for how long his taunt lasts is laughable. However built with a Chewy the computer splits their attacks between the taunters. Built with three healers I hardly lose in arena. Sidious is not a problem with both Old Daka and Ewok Elder.

    0
  15. Completely worthless at high level play.

His health pool is laughable. Partially because he is agil base, but his stat gain per star is also one of if not the lowest in the game. If armor/resistance did anything besides take off flat damage, he might be usable.

His turn meter manipulation would make him the best taunt tank (better than Poe’s expose even) but it basically comes down to the fact that his health is low, armor/resistance doesn’t mitigate anything vs 3-5k crits, his speed is garbage, and sidious will make him unhealable as soon as he taunts.

If you’re new to the game, he works as a crutch, but don’t invest heavily in his gear.

    1
    • Funny, he’s been on my squad for weeks and I finish anywhere in the the top 20 (mostly top 10) every single day. 2.3 stat gain per star is perfectly fine. For comparison, Luminara and Sidious (considered the two best characters) get 2.4 and 2.5 from 6->7 respectively. Every character end with 18-18.5 stat gain per level once they are at 7*

Yeah his health pool his a little low compared to other tanks but his turn meter control more than makes up for it. He can hit like a truck too. For me he’s easily 4-4.5/5, he’s one of the better arena investments.

      4
    • Popular notion regarding his health is off-base in my experience.

He has 100 less health than JC and 385 less than Lumi. He has more health than IG-86, Dooku, QGJ, Asajj, and more. For a tank it’s on the low side, okay. For a tank with taunt? Sure. But let’s not act like his health is so low it is prohibitive. Paired with Phasma and Lumi? Unless the AI targets him and only him first – you’re gonna have a good time. Phasma will increase turn meter, Han will taunt, he will take an attack, and Lumi will then heal him to full health. If you can’t get done what you need to get done in the meantime, you done goofed.

  16. Fun to play with but not a regular on my team. To squishy for a tank and doesn’t really follow Hans style. Should be an attacker with some kind of ability with a luck role or something.
If you taught with him at higher levels he gets eatin alive. He is dependent on gear completely.

    2
    • No harm being dependent on gear if it makes him that much better. I use him at 6 stars with 5star phasma as leader, 6star lumi as healer, daka for stuns and revives and a dps (kylo for now). Does lose out a bit to QGJ teams that can remove taunt. Else he really works well especially at higher levels when extra turns allows your dps to take down enemy heroes.

  17. Han is pretty much the hero i build my team around. Though he is not the tankiest, you should not forget that he permanently controls the Turn Meter of your AND the enemy team. This effect leads to way more rounds your heros can pull off, before the enemy can. It often happens that just one enemy can attack “taunt han” – which increases my team’s turn meter + decreases the enemy ones – and then 3 of my team can pull the trigger.
You definitely need a healer in this combo, because he has no selfheal or defense buff himself.
Also his Basic Attack sometimes crits pretty hard (the dmg varies a lot though).
Try to crash the enemy in taunt-time.

If you pick this hero, focus your energy on his gear levels.
His health and defense are pretty low for a tank, so he should be geared first.

    5
  18. Han is a very solid support, giving your team many extra turns (Draw Fire level 3+ is a must!) and protecting them from fire when your enemy actually gets turns, but he needs a lot of healing support if you want him to survive through the taunt, as his health is not as high as you would expect for a “tank”.

    0
  19. god dammit i absolutely love his kit… BUT he needs to be tankier, if they could put him in the category of barrass fives or savage.. he would be a top tier tank.. but like his hit points are as good as some of the hardest hitters in the game.. which is a big let down :(
